So, if you purchase the set, and need to have a tall light, you could use the pieces from the second light to lengthen the first light. However, if you need two tall lights, I would connect the lights to one of the stem pieces, and slide this set-up into a PVC pipe that has the height that you need. **Q: Does it need to be screwed into the ground to operate? The lamps are a flat, black color. I added two fleu de lis to each lamp for decorative purposes. The height of the lamps is as described, and the lamps have a good weight to them. There was some pretty heavy wind and rain that came through, yet these lamps (using the included ground stakes) withstood the weather and did not move!!! I was pleasantly surprised!! We lost power, yet our courtyard was well lit, thanks to these solar lamps!! Assembly was very easy. Be sure to remove the lamp portion to switch the mode to “on”. You can remove the lamp portion by simply twisting and lifting it. Be sure to twist/lock it back in place after putting it back on. These lamps are very beautiful and functional.
