As much as I really wanted to use this for its benefits, it has a very strong odour. If you can imagine the smell of a pumice stone, it smelt like that but 10 times stronger. It was a shame as well as I would have used the smallest amount whilst mixing it in products but I feared the pungent smell would have still come through as I don't use things that are highly perfumed.

Having researched adding silk peptide powders to lotions and body butters I was really looking forward to making up a batch of body butter and infusing it with the silk peptide powder. While the body butter felt lovely as ever I am disappointed on two accounts. Firstly the powder is quite gritty and did not infuse with the hot oils as expected so I am using the body butter as a hand mask and scrub instead. Secondly it does have an unpleasant odor that over powered the essential oil blend I added to the body butter. As it's the first time I am using silk peptide I can't say if the odor or grittiness is normal.

I bought this for use in my homemade leave in conditioner. Works great, though I’ve never used any other brand of silk so I can’t speak on its legitimacy. But I think it’s good quality because it really added strength and smoothness and shine that I don’t normally achieve from that same recipe without it. Would recommend!

il est de très bonne qualité mais à une odeur particulière un peu désagréable. je l'ai utilisé dans une poudre visage non parfumé du coup l'odeur persiste, il faudra que je teste dans un produit parfumé
