always had a metal mailbox, this is the first time we considered plastic. we looked at all the big box stores and hardware stores too, lots of manufacturers, but this one is very very well made and sturdy, easy to install with easy instructions, newspaper holder underneath is deep enough to keep the paper dry too, door magnet seems plenty strong, but time will tell on that but it shouldn't change We like it a lot, looks good

Very good quality and sharp looking. Instructions were a little hard to understand. It says '2 people recommended', I did this alone. It was easy to install once I figured it out. You will need to purchase a 4x4 treated lumber and install it in concrete. It doesn't come with reflectors, I would recommend purchasing them. It's very nice and I would definitely buy this again.

Easy to install, easy to read instructions. Oversized box is nice to have for smaller packages to fit in. I love the option of adding a plant hangar on the back. Looks very nice. Review the instructions for proper measurements before purchasing the post for it.

Arrived promptly, very easy to put together. This item does *not* include numbers for labeling and buyers will likely need the additional 2*4 height.

Beautiful, sturdy, great price and even better price when purchased during prime week 🥳 The hardest part about this was digging hole… my goodness I don’t know how I used to do that as a kid.. the deeper we got the harder it became but it was well worth it … make sure that you pay attention to how the screws and rubber pieces are supposed to be inserted otherwise you won’t be able to put the screw covers on .. ask me how I know 🙄 So far I haven’t had any issues with the door magnet not being able to hold the door in place.. the door easily opens and shuts without feeling flimsy… I really don’t see that being an issue for us in the future either .. the color is bold and beautiful and the box feels extremely sturdy especially since it’s attached to a 4x4 …. The size is a huge bonus.. we receive business documents in large envelopes and magazines all the time but they usually end up wrinkled or damaged when shoved in the box with Amazon packages, not anymore ..

I love my Step 2 Lakewood Mailbox and Post. It is attractive and well built. The brown and black color combination is great. Plenty of room inside.
