Kanro Dried Umeboshi (Pickled Plum) - Hoshiume - By From Japan 27 grams

They have great taste but you don't get much for your money. It's great every now and then to get a taste I remember from my childhood.

Was so looking forward to receiving these but was sadly let down. Ordered two packs and not a single plum was sour. They where just salty and horrid. Wish I could rate higher but these where extremely disappointing!

Liked these, missed the ume boshi taste you cant get in the UK. Fairly mild taste i have had far stronger

Disgusting, taste like baking soda mixed with artificial sweetener, nothing like real umeboshi

I have a love affair with all kinds of umeboshi (Japanese pickled plums). It's the first time I've tried this particular product and can say I enjoy this version, too. Seedless. Nice snack--chewing each up into tiny pieces to prolong the taste sensation or sucking them dry to make each one last. Less salty and far more moist than li hing mui (the dried shriveled plums with seeds used sometimes for Hawaiian shaved ice or as another tasty sour plum alternative). Shelf stable. Can also be used when making Spam musubi when wet pickled umeboshi is not available--dice finely or smash into pulp for mixing with steamed rice...yummy. I just bought an additional 6-pack for myself and ordered a single pack to be sent to my sister so that she can try it, too. Nice that it comes with free shipping--that's why I tried it

I love this product. I ate pickled plums when I was travelling in Japan a few years ago. Now I am so happy that I can order them even when I am in Germany. They tastes so good, with reasonable expired date.

These are REALLY good! The price is kind of high but for a product from Japan, you get what you pay for. These are not very tart and are more on the sweet side but not sickly sweet. It has the perfect mix and I found that they were too good to simply bite and chew. I would suck on them for a while until it was sort of re-hydrated and then finish them off. They tasted so good that it's a shame there are only so little pieces in each bag. There were around 8-10 pieces in total and every one was very pleasant! Love these a lot more than the traditional ume candies.

They taste pretty good , it's rather expensive though. ( just a few pieces in 1 pack ) On the top even have to pay for delivery for each pack ! After all , it's not made in Japan - Product from China But thank you for providing anyway
