Excellent product. We had a high nitrite level following the introduction of fish to our new tank. After exchanging some heater and treating it with this we managed to get it under control in a few hours. Water clarity is now crystal clear - it was very cloudy prior to using. Due to high concentration you only need a small amount, so a bottle will last a long time. We were using a starter kit, but I wouldn’t bother with those now. All you need is this and some bacteria to help maintain Josh and water health.

THIS STUFF WORKS!! It detoxifies ammonia by converting it from the toxic form (NH3) to non-toxic NH4. I have a seneye device in my tank which lights up if NH3 rises above 0.25ppm. The light came on but I couldn't get to the tank for another 7 hours or so.. But when I did, I added prime (dose for the whole tank) and the light went off within 30 seconds. I highly recommend using it in conjunction with Stability live bacteria, which will convert the NH4 into nitrite and then nitrate. I also didn't get any false readings on my master test kit unlike when I had previously used API Ammo Lock (which is now in the bin). The bottle says only 5ml is needed for 200L of aquarium water.. So one bottle is going to last me ages for my 180L tank.

Best aquarium water conditioner ever. Highly concentrated neutraliser for chlorine, choramine, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. This is not a substitute for water changes though. To be used with regular water and filter maintenance. Great value 1/3 extra free bottle!

Perfect for new setups or just maintaining existing ones. Been using it for years to dechlorinate and keep harmful ammonia neutralised if present. It just works!

Great product, highly recommended from the serious hobbyists. The great thing about Seachem Prime is that, not only does it make your tap water safe when doing your water changes but you can also use it as a quick rescue, if you get a spike of Ammonia or Nitrite. It will make them less toxic to fish for 24-48 hrs until you source the cause, or your filter catches up. Another plus is how concentrated this, which means you use less per litre of tank water. It works out 5ml per 200L! Highly recommend!

Definitely works i use it at the fist sign of problems and with most water changes won't be without it for my tropical fish now.
