Review: NIce starter kit for younger children - This kit has great presentation and makes for a fantastic gift for younger children. There are lot of pieces in this kit. It has a nice pad to work on, lots of tools and equipment to use. And you get red, green, blue and yellow coloring dye. There are 12 lab experiment cards. All of the experiments worked for us. The favorite item was the slime made from psyllium fiber powder. Who knew? There are a variety of experiments to do. From making "snow" out of polymer crystals, using vinegar and baking soda to create a gas that will inflate a balloon, making super cool foaming elephant toothpaste and forming gummy worms. The crystals made from the alum powder take at least 24 hours to start forming, just so you know to give it time. Needed household items to do the labs are : alum powder, baking soda, a balloon, corn starch, dish soap, one egg, white flowers, hydrogen peroxide, lemon, pipe cleaners, salt, vinegar and a yeast packet.
