Nice rain jacket at a good price.
I bought this for fall/winter/spring runs in Neon Orange to replace a 20 year old Saucony running jacket in the same color.I really can't complain about the service I got out of that Saucony jacket but this is a huge upgrade in a lot of ways.1.) My old jacket was a great windbreaker but had zero water protection. It wasn't designed for that. So on runs in snow and rain I'd just put up with getting soaked. This TSLA jacket has a modern 2.5 layer design with a printed breathable membrane to block the rain and snow while letting sweat escape. No more getting soaking wet.2.) The old jacket had 2 zippered hand pockets and a zippered chest pocket. All three were on the small side. This TSLA jacket has 2 zippered hand pockets and the zippered chest pocket plus two huge internal drop in pockets up front and a huge zippered pocket in back. There are tons more storage options with this jacket.3.) The old Saucony jacket had no hood. I actually prefer that as a hood limits my peripheral vision and run in an area with bear, coyotes, and bobcats, plus I'm on paved roads part of the way. I like to be able to see what's around me. But I will say a hood is nice for wind protection on my neck in freezing temps. And wet hair will suck heat out of you pretty fast. I do wish this hood could be rolled up and stored out of sight inside the collar like my backpacking rain gear. But I can live with it hanging loose in back. No big deal.4.) The old Saucony jacket had very little reflective material. That always bugged me because a lot of my runs fall/winter are in low visibility conditions with either snow or rain or dawn/dusk hours with low light. This TSLA jacket has more reflective material and it's better positioned to cover my back and sides. A bonus with the hood is when it's not in use, it provides another reflective stripe at shoulder level for a total of 3 in back plus 1 on each shoulder. As for fit, I'm 6'0" tall and 207 lbs with a 44" chest, 34" waist, and 34/35 arm length. I normally buy size L in this sort of gear. I bought the XL size based on reviews that said to size up and the XL is a perfect fit for me. I wanted it a little loose for layering. I can wear the XL over a fleece or double shirts with plenty of room in the chest, waist and arms. Without extra layers, I still like the looser fit for movement when running. The only caveat I'd mention is something another reviewer brought up. The body of the jacket is shorter in length than what I'm used to. It only reaches maybe 3 inches below my waist. But this is advertised as a cycling jacket. There's eve a silicone grip strip in back to keep it from riding up when you're bent over riding a bike. That may be the thing throwing people off. This is more of an all around design made to work with a bike or on a run. I think they designed it a little short in length for that reason. To tell the truth, I like it better than my old jacket which used to cover all the way down to my butt. The shorter length feels less heavy / restrictive. And it's plenty long enough to cover my waist. As for build quality, it's pretty nice.1.) Polyester shell for wind proofing.2.) 2.5 layer design with a permeable membrane for sweat management and water proofing.3.) Seam taped everywhere for a total water seal.4.) Back vent across the shoulders for more breathability / sweat management.5.) Good quality zippers6.) Zipper garages on front pockets and a rain flap on the back pocket.7.) Storm flap inside the main zipper to seal out wind and rain.8.) Stitching looks to be good quality.9.) The neon orange color is really bright for maximum visibility.10.) Extremely lightweight overall and it packs down to a small size so very packable. All in all, I'm very impressed and satisfied for the $50 I paid. I should a lot of years out of this jacket.I saw some people complaining about this jacket not being warm. Well yeah, this is a rain shell. It's an ultralight outer layer meant to block wind and water. There is no insulation. If you need warmth, you're supposed to layer up with a base layer and a mid layer under this jacket according to your needs.I wore it for the first time New Year's Eve on a 7.3 mile run in the rain at about 43 F. It was perfect. Complete rain and wind block. No leaks. And the printed 2.5 layer membrane design was better than anything from Goretex I've ever owned. And it was actually better than my 6 year old Marmot Precip 2.5 layer rain gear I use for backpacking. The breathability was actually good enough to keep me from getting drenched with sweat inside the jacket. The full width vent across the shoulders probably helps along with venting using the front zipper part time. I sweat like a racehorse on a run. This is the best rain gear at managing sweat I've ever owned. Maybe the 2.5 layer membrane technology has come a long way in the last 6 years. And the jacket was very comfortable on a 7 mile run. There was nothing annoying around the neck, sleeves, or waist. It moved well. It felt very light. And there was very little swooshing noise from fabric on fabric with arm movement. It's pretty much perfect for me.

Got this for my husband. It's a nice jacket! Can fold up small enough to fit in the bike bag . Beautiful color.

Visibility, fit, material are good.
The zippers worked well. Bright red. Pockets were good. Good fit as an outer most layer. Not sure it is water proof. It's great as a wind breaker. Breathes reasonably well to remove heat and moisture. Has big air vent across back just below shoulders that worked great, others brands are missing this important feature. No way to adjust simple elastic wrist openings. Had lots of wind/rain running up the sleeve. Had to add rubber bands to close the opening. Would have been better had it had velcro at wrist openings.

Breathes well but zippers leak cycling in the rain
The reviews are true that this coat is one of the best for breathability, however the hood is a bit large and bulky but that is not my main gripe. The biggest let down was one pocket zipper and the main zip both leaked on me while cycling after having the jacket for about 3-4 rains. It started off very nice for a rain jacket and I really liked it at first. This might work well for you if you are not moving with higher velocity through pouring rain.
