I've had the plastic buckle on an add-on strap damaged by rough handling. Will you replace a strap if the buckle gets damaged? thanks

Can I use a padlock to prevent it being removed ?

I was never able to unlock buckle to use on my trip. Had to relocate an old strap that I had taken on a previous trip. should have paid attention to others who had tried to use them unsuccessfully.

Can you use only 1 strap around the middle of the luggage?

Yes! No problem at all to use just 1. Using 2 or more is simply to add length for larger pieces.

I own a pair of straps that I've had for 4 years now.I can see why people say it's hard to open but honestly, that's exactly what I was looking for. Not to be easy to be vandalized and also add extra support to the zipper when my luggage is packed.I have traveled several times internationally and they've held phenomenal.I plan to buy another set, hopefully they still have the same strength and quality.
