Optoma GT1080Darbee 1080p 3000 ANSI Lumens Full HD Short Throw DLP Projector

Best projector I have ever used or seen! I have had 2 previous projectors from Epson and Acer but this Optoma tops both of them twice over! I love the fact there are so many settings so that each user can set up their own preferred viewing modes etc. I also love the short throw feature. I have the projector installed on a ceiling mount about 110cm away from the projector screen and it displays a screen size of around 120". I cant really fault this projector other than the keystone is only vertical there is no horizontal keystone...but that being said as long as users make themselves aware of this they should be able to mount the projector in a way that wouldn't need keystone adjusted. The projector itself does get quite hot but it does have a pretty good cooling system so it cools down quite quickly once switched off. The 3D feature was a bonus in this projector, it honestly feels no different than being at the actual cinema. 3D Glasses dont come with the projector but as long as you buy '3D Active DLP Glasses' they will work with this projector. You have to press the 3D button in the projector remote to activate 3D and it gives you the option for DLP-Link and VESA. I'm it sure what VESA 3D is but my active 3D glasses work with the DLP link feature. The 3D glasses can be picked up for about £15 per pair which isn't too bad. There is a 3D link socket on the projector but I'm not sure what that does? 3D already works as long as you have powered active DLP link 3D glasses. There is also 2 HDMI sockets built into this projector, and both are fully 1080p@60Hz compatible. HDMI2 is MHL compatible so if you wanted to you could use a compatible cable to get your smartphone/tablet screen up on the projector. There is also a 12v out trigger 3.5mm option if you wanted to be able to automate an electric projector screen when power is turned on the projector. Other sockets it has is USB for powering purposes and a micro USB input. There isn't an input for VGA, Scart, or RCA but this is 2019 and it is really dead technology now days. Lastly there is a 3.5mm audio out socket for connecting to external sound system. It would've been better for optical but it's not the worst thing. I would recommend using external sound as the speaker built into the projector is not very loud. Even just a small portable bluetooth speaker would be ok for external sound. All in all I'm very happy with the product and well worth the money.

I have had video projectors for many many years lots of different types sizes and this has to be the best one I have every had , the 3d works so well , the gaming mode is just unbelievable the way that the image bounces off of the screen is just outstanding

I spent a long, long time researching projectors from standard throw to short throw through to ultra-short throw in order to get a good picture, brightness and portability – this has been a really good purchase for both inside viewing and garden cinema nights. It's not 4K but the picture quality is very good. Brightness is very good although don't ever expect to view any projector in anything but a slightly darkened environment.

Absolutely love this projector, I may never leave my flat again. Great image quality, vibrant colours. Extremely easy to set up. Purchased the 3D glasses as well and they work a treat.

I upgraded from a cheap £100 projector and I'm so glad I did. I get a 120inch picture from approx. 1.5M away. The speakers aren't the best but I would advise outputting audio to a dedicated device anyway.

Despite only having this for less than one year with limited use of about 2-4 hours per week, the lamp has already blew, even though it was ceiling hung with plenty of ventilation space. Up to that point was great but disappointed for the extremely short lamp life.

Arrivato nei tempi previsti, Optoma Gt1080 darbee è l'edizione rinnovata del classico Gt1080. Tiro corto, bassi tempi di risposta e aggiunta funzionalità Darbee per la gestione di profondità nero e dettagli. Nasce dedicato al Gaming ma anche in ambito Home Cinema devo constatare che riesce a mostrare pulizia e precisione nel dettagli, anche quelli più scuri. Ottime possibilità di regolazione dal menù dedicato, come tipo di immagine richiesta e filtri. La funzione Darbee si vede eccome all'opera. Personalmente arrivo da un 3lcd Epson e questo mi sento di consigliarlo caldamente anche a chi cercasse dei colori brillanti ma pur sempre fedeli. La rumorosità, dopo pochi minuti di accensione si riduce e diventa perfettamente tollerabile, così come il calore emesso. La tecnologia usata è di tipo Dlp e non sembra causare Rainbow effect, perlomeno nessuno che avuto modo di vederlo in azione mi ha lamentato questo problema, ma rimane comunque variabile da soggetto a soggetto. Il tiro corto permette una diagonale importante già a distanze ridotte (1,46cm -> 135 pollici) e se da un lato questo risulta comodo per l'installazione su di un tavolo o supporto mobile devo far notare che per chi avesse già una parete o un pannello dedicato questo può portare a del lavoro aggiuntivo nel trovare la giusta posizione in quanto assente qualsiasi tipo di zoom. Abbastanza leggero nel trasposto (per il quale viene fornita una borsa apposita). A parte alcuni appunti devo dire che risulta veramente molto coinvolgente, sia per l'ovvia diagonale irraggiungibile con schermi tradizionali, ma anche per qualità d'immagine e versatilità. Per il prezzo richiesto non ho trovato nulla di così completo ed efficace. Consigliato senza riserve

Der Optoma GT1080Darbee ist ein toller Kurzdistanzbeamer mit einer ausreichend hellen Lampe auch bei Tageslicht im Raum. Natürlich hilft es dem Kontrast abzudunkeln und Tageslicht im Raum ist nicht gleich Tageslicht unter freiem Himmel. Das Bild ist für mich beeindruckend und die Darbee Funktion, zumindest in dem Demomodus mit Splitscreen, scheint wirklich ein noch schärferes Bild zu erzeugen oder das Bild entsprechend zu manipulieren. Der kurze Projektionsabstand erzeugt ein wirklich riesiges Bild bei geringstem Abstand und das auf weißer Raufaserwand. Daher bekommt er von mir uneingeschränkt volle Sternzahl, da er das was er können soll mit Bravur leistet. Dennoch musste ich ihn, obwohl ich wirklich lange vorher recherchiert habe und ihn auch noch zu einem günstigen Schnäppchenpreis von 689,99 € (aktuell liegt er hier bei Amazon bei 825,69 €) bekommen habe, aus völlig unerwarteten Grund zurücksenden: Kurz zu meiner Ausgangssituation. Seit Anfang der 2000er Jahre dient uns aus baulich günstigen Gründen ein Beamer mit einer Rückprojektionsleinwand mit richtig schwarzen (nicht nur grau wie man es überall bekommt) Tuch als einziger Wohnzimmerfernseher. Der Vorteil bei der Rückprojektion liegt vor allem darin, dass man von jeglichem Lüftergeräusch verschont bleibt, da der Beamer hinter der Leinwand ist und dass durch das schwarze Tuch auch Beamer mit schlechtem Kontrast gute Schwarzwerte erzielten, allerdings etwas auf Kosten der Helligkeit. Anfangs gab es noch keine Kurzdistanzbeamer und ich musste mit einem Oberflächenbeschichteten Umlenkspiegel aus dem Theaterbau für entsprechend Licht-Strecke sorgen. Später gab es die ersten Kurzdistanzbeamer die auch immer besser wurden. Unseren aktuellen Beamer, ein Benq w710st, den wir am 06.06.2012 hier ebenfalls bei Amazon gekauft haben hat jetzt schon den 6. Lampenwechsel (mit mindesten je 2000 - 4000 h, Qualität der Originalleuchtmittel schwankt stark inkl. 1 Lampenplatzer) hinter sich und zeigt nun langsam aber sicher erste Ausfallerscheinungen indem er mitten im Film sich mit Lampenfehler abschaltet (obwohl die noch relativ jung ist) und nach Abkühlphase wieder anschaltet. Da der auch nur HD Ready Auflösung hat und mittlerweile das Angebot der Kurzdistanzbeamer auf dem Markt stark zugenommen hat, habe ich wochenlang Modell über eine bekannte Projektoren-Datenbank im Netz verglichen habe und unzählige Rezensionen und Testvideos angeschaut habe, kam ich zu dem Schluss, dass der Optoma GT1080Darbee der Beste aktuelle FullHD (4K als Kurzdistanz mit mindestens 3000 ANSI gibt es meines Wissens noch nicht) für unser Setup sein müsste, da er auch 500 ANSI heller ist als unser alter. Nachdem der Optoma 2 Tage später geliefert wurde, habe ich sofort eine Trägerplatte für unsere alte Deckenhalterung angefertigt und wollte in freudiger Erwartung den Optoma umgehend in Betrieb nehmen. Dann die Ernüchterung, in der Mitte ein starker heller HotSpot und zum Rand hin extrem stark abfallende Helligkeit. Das kannte ich von unserem Benq w710st so überhaupt nicht. Zum Vergleich habe ich den Optoma dann auf eine freie weiße Raufaserwand gerichtet, dort ergab sich ein völlig anderes Bild. Absolut homogene Hellligkeitsverteilung über das gesamt Bild bis hin zu den Rändern. Knackige Farben und eine tolle Schärfe. Also konnte es nur an der Projektionsart (Rückprojektion) und unserem schwarzen Tuch, was viel Licht schluckt, liegen. Komisch nur, dass der Benq damit keine Probleme hat. Der einzige Unterschied zwischen beiden Beamern ist der Projektionsabstand und dort muss das Problem auch liegen. Mein alter Beamer (Projektionsverhältnis 0,72-0,79:1) wurde für die 1,6 Breite Leinwand ca. 1,20 m hinter der Leinwand platziert, der Optoma benötigt dazu nur 78cm da er ein Projektionsverhältnis von nur 0,49:1 hat. Durch die kurze Distanz trifft vermutlich sehr viel mehr Licht in der Mitte der Leinwand auf als an den Rändern. Vermutlich ist durch die stärkere Krümmung dann doch ein stärkerer Lichtabfall zum Rand hin als in der Mitte, daher der Hotspot.

La mejor compra que he podido hacer. Antes de comprar el artículo consulte mucho por internet y vi muchas reviews. Al final me decante por el Darbee por la tecnología q da un poco de más de definición. Todo un acierto. Lo tengo montado en la buhardilla, por eso me decante por un proyector de tiro corto y full HD. Lo tengo sobre una pantalla autotensionada de 80 pulgadas. Es una pasada como se ven ahora las películas y el fútbol. Hay q ajustar un poco los balances y brillos para dejarlo a tu gusto. Pero realmente si te lo puedes permitir es una compra de 10. No os fiéis por las bajas calificaciones xq cuando yo lo compré estaba la valoración en 4'8 con casi 20 opiniones.

Aprés de nombreuses recherches mon choix c'est porté sur cette marque et ce modèle en particulier. Je cherchais un appareil à focale courte (rapport de projection inférieur à 1). Il est lumineux, contrasté et parfaitement réglable. Son seul défaut, l'absence de zoom qui nécessite un positionnement parfait.
