I used to use JFM until it nearly burned a hole in my top lip, underneath my moustache! I always liked the overall coverage it gave me but healthwise, it can be dangerous, so time for a change. I now use a henna dye which is good and natural, but I've tried a couple and they do fade quite quickly. However, they're good as an undercolour to Blackbeard and if, like me, you like a dark beard, then Blackbeard is good. Quick-drying and with only a few quick brushes, you'll get good dark volume and colour back through your beard. It can feel a bit clumpy and stuck together initially, but that's understandable when you're first trying it and you may need time to determine how much to use on each application. No matter, once dry, just take a thin-toothed comb and brush through carefully; however, you really do need to determine what's important to you - if you want good appearance with volume and coverage, or if you're a bit too hung up instead, on how it feels. In addition, I haven't had any staining on shirt collars, pillows etc. I have a full beard and it works well with the henna dye underneath. I still think it would be good if you have some or a lot of natural colour in your beard and you just want to tidy away the areas of grey. I have a tendency to fiddle about with my beard while checking work on my computer, so the more you do that, the quicker it will thin, I imagine. But, say you're heading out to socialise and you notice your beard could use a tidy, and quickly, I think this would be good. For what it is and does, I like it. Like everything in life, you have to try it... ;-).

I cannot rate this highly enough, yes I'm refusing a bit to go grey, was dying my beard before with just for men but it made my skin so sore and itchy, and sometimes it got infected. Not good to be fair. Plus it only lasted a week or so. This stuff lasted over a month of daily use. It doesn't irritate my skin one bit - my skin has actually improved since using it. It also washes out at night after use so you Don't have to sleep with it on. Sounds daft but it's basically a daily brush on dye. Literally takes seconds to apply, kinda gels your beard in place a bit which makes it easier to manage and feels so much better than those Harsh dyes. I've just reordered and I've still got a bit left but its lasted over a month with ease Highly recommended

This stuff is really good. Easy to apply (less than a minute for a whole beard) and lasts virtually all day. Just For Men also do one these beard sticks, but this is better. It lasts longer, looks more natural on, and doesn't flick off the applicator brush. Yes, you have to apply it everyday if you want to keep the look, and you will lose 40-60% of the colour overnight (depending on what sort of night you have) but it's super easy to apply, so it really shouldn't be a big deal for anyone. I also apply it to side-burns and could be used on eyebrows. The one thing I don't particularly like is the feel of it when it's on. Makes your beard feel a bit tacky to touch, so it's best not to overdo the application.

I found it took a few practices to apply without leaving dark smudges over my jaw. As the applicator is like your girlfriends mascara wand, it seems is a little too wide spaced and bulky to effectively apply cleanly...unless you have a beard of decent length. The dye also dries very quickly...which is a positive if you have applied it correctly first time around, as you're able to throw your kit on without fear of getting the muck all over your shirt. Though if, like me, you make a mistake and smudge some of it then you've essentially buggered the whole lot up and will have to wash it off and start afresh, as you've no chance of correcting the mistake before it dries. The actual colour of the product is pretty natural though and it doesn't seem to give out any kind of unnatural iridescent shine in sunlight, which can be an issue with hair dye. All round a useful product if you can negotiate the rather tedious application process.

This is a great product for a daily colour touch up but it comes off with any type on touching from clothing or material so you have to reapply and use a fair bit so it doesn’t last long, yet it’s increased by over 30% in the last couple of months which just makes it unviable. Really disappointing to have to give this product up.

At last something that works & does not put me in pain & agony like the permanent chemical dyes have in the past. Blackbeard For Men is brilliant, I only need a small amount & my grey beard is transformed while still looking natural. Blackbeard do also sell a blending brush but I dont think that is available here in the UK so what I do is use a ordinary toothbrush which helps blend it in faster, of course that is just an option, it is not necessary. Personally I have found that a bottle of Blackbeard lasts me a long time as a little goes a long way, I like to have a goatee beard. It does not come off in the rain & even when I went swimming at the beach last summer it still stayed on. At the same time if you do want to remove it then by using slight force with a tissue & water it then comes off with no problem. Generally it lasts me all day without having to touch it up but I always take it with me in my pocket just in case I did need it. Love love love this product. I'm only in my 30's and already getting grey. Just for men is a solution of course but it's messy and time consuming. This is just perfect. The coverage is great and it stays on! Sometimes I even find it a little difficult to wash off it stays on so well. BUT the mascara-type brush it comes with for us lads will take some practice to master! So when you apply I've found the following useful. 1) when you bring the brush out of the tube if a "glob" of colour is stuck on the end of the brush dab that off on tissue or inside the tube. You don't want that glob of colour smeared on your face. Yep. I did. 2) As instructions say go with the grain/direction of growth of your beard. Very important. If you try going against you're just gonna get colour globs all over your skin and stuck in your beard (depending on how long/short your beard is of course). 3) Use very gentle strokes and stick with it. Sometimes it looks like it isn't colouring but keep stroking over the area GENTLY (especially true if your beard/stubble is short) and it'll get covered. 4) Keep checking that you've got coverage. Once grey is covered don't be tempted to go over it again and again, it's super easy to put too much on. 5) I found keeping a tissue in the other hand to dab up mistakes really useful too. Go buy it. You'll never use Just 4 Men again and it takes literally a minute or two with practice.

A natural looking coloring that's easy to apply. Also hypoallergenic. I have purchased this product several times. It works really nice at covering gray hair, I'm very pleased with this product.
