What won me over is that this thing remains intact and does not fall apart like most sponges / scrubbers. Really wish they would make some at least 2x the size as that would make them easier to use for those of us with large hands. We've had them for almost 4 months now and rotate between 2 - using one for a while, then toss that one in the dishwasher while we switch to the other. The remaining 3 sponges have yet to leave the box they came in. The sponge side works great, and while I think the scratchy side could be scratchier, my husband thinks it's too scratchy. So you be the judge! Either way, they are holding up well. This was a good purchase and I would buy them again.

Take getting used to
When I first go these I did not like them, as they were very small and super stiff. Was very difficult to clean anything other than a flat surface. Over time it has gotten more pliable, but still does not make good suds no matter how much soap I use. What won me over is that this thing remains intact and does not fall apart like most sponges / scrubbers. Really wish they would make some at least 2x the size as that would make them easier to use for those of us with large hands.

True, it is durable!
Very solid and durable. Unfortunately it's so hard it doesn't form to the dish or whatever you are cleaning.

Stiff and difficult to use
So stiff and hard to use! Curls strongly towards sponge so that becomes unusable as well. Somewhat long lasting, sponge falls apart first. At least I can compost it. The thinner style of loofah-only sponges are much better and easier to use.

It works!
In general, Loofah products are cheap, in this case only pennies more expensive than these disgusting plastic sponges which are a burden to the environment. Though I can see that these Loofah sponges are natural and vegan friendly, I can't say yet of they are compostable because though I have been using one of them for a while it really looks just like when I took it out of the package. The manufacturer recommends to rinse it out, which I do, the sponge can also be sterilized with boiling water. Now, having used this wonderful product for a while, I am wondering why we don't forbit the production and sale of cheap plastic kitchen sponges, for the sake of saving the environment. Plus, these Loofah sponges don't get soggy and 'disgusting' like some kitchen sponges, they feel like a natural product. 5 stars, I will be checking out other products from the manufacturer.
