Sheaffer 300 - Sheaffer Award Fountain Pen - Matte Red

Pen cap is a difficult fit

I've bought probably a couple of dozen pens in the last 12 months ( I like a nice pen for work ). The Sheaffer 300 series are the best pens I have yet come across ( I have the fountain pen and rollerball 300's ). I like a nice weighty pen and this fits the bill. I also like a pen that does not feel like it's scratching across the page and it fits that requirement too. It's solid and well made and does not leak. Better than pens I have paid £150+ for .

It is cheaper to buy this pen complete with converter than buy a Sheaffer converter on it's own.The pen itself is not bad.

The pen is fine. The one star rating is because the description says this item comes with one blue and one black ink cartridge - I received neither. It was just the pen with no ink.

Arrived without ink despite description explaining that a blue and black cartridge were included.

This is an inexpensive Shaeffer Award, not the well regarded Shaeffer 300, this is fraudulent.It writes very well and plenty smooth, and as a pleasant surprise, the cap and barrel are actually brass (thin, plastic lined). Section is all plastic, with a rubber grip which I dislike.

Bought as a present for a friend as he always admired the pen I owned. He loves his.
