I bought this stove 20 years ago because I could no longer get down to clean the oven and the one I had was ancient and didn't even have a oven window let alone a light. It was very slow to heat also. So I bought this stove with the self cleaning oven. It has been a dream. Since I am disabled I couldn't reach the back of the oven to change the bulb. I called a local appliance repair and they came and installed a new bulb. It burned out the first time I turned the oven on. They came back and installed a socket and another new bulb. It lasted a week. The bill was running up. I only had one more thing that could go wrong and that was the control panel. Since the bulbs were getting power I decided it wasn't that and it had to be the choice of bulb. I found these and they were for high temp ovens which the others weren't so I ordered them and had the install my bulb. It is still working. So the answer is if your oven bulb keeps burning out it is probably the bulb not anything else. If you have a self cleaning oven that reaches over 500 degrees for 4 hours you need a bulb that will withstand that kind of heat.

My oven light went out. The stove is 20 years old so I guess it was time.
