Is this supposed to automatically close?

Thank you for choosing Rubbermaid Commercial. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality and service. Rubbermaid Commercial Slim Jim Swing Lid , Black (FFG267360BLA) does automatically close.

Can this lid consider being airtight?

I’d say not at all. The flange on both sides swing down and closed. I’ve had this trash can and lid for over a year and I do like it. I compost organic material separately. This keeps the odor down until reasonably full.

Lid doesn't seal or close. Badly made product.

One side of the lid does not close it just stays open, and even when both lids are closed together there are gaps all around the lids and in the center. Not a good lid. Returned.

Perfect condition

If the description did not state that this was second hand, I would never have guessed - and that for half the price of new! The lid fits perfectly on my bin, and it was slim enough to slide in between the freezer and cupboard

A fuir
