I'm not sure what most people are looking for in freezer ice blocks, but these definitely fulfilled all our ice block dreams. They freeze quickly, stay frozen and cold for quite a few hours (even when pressed against my partners hot sweaty back during the current hot weather) Admittedly we bought these ice packs for medicinal purposes only, so we cannot comment on their efficacy in a picnic situation, however, for use as an ice pack on a very sore back they were perfect. They are quite slim-line and flat and fit perfectly in a back support without feeling bulky and at £5.29 for 6 what's not to like. They arrived less than 12 hours after placing the order (good old Amazon Prime) and we were soon in ice pack heaven. (I definitely didn't take any tramadol before writing this review.....)

I am writing this review as a warning to future purchasers. The product delivered was substantially different to what was described. The description does say "Colour: Sent at random - May vary" and although the ones delivered were blue-green in colour, the colour was not the issue but the quality which was thinner and less robust that the ones pictured. The size was not as described "Individual Ice Blocks Measures: 15.5 x 8.5 x 2.5cm" but were flatter at 1.8 cm. The internal coolant also varied in quantity in that 3 blocks weighed around 250 g, 2 blocks weighed around 220 g and the last one was leaking. I am going to chalk this down to experience, give the blocks away and in future get the blocks from somewhere like a hardware shop where I can first check the quality before purchasing. Giving the review two stars: one for delivering it (although package was in thin plastic and not in a box, hence the damage to one of the blocks) and one for the product being a freeze block.

These blocks are exactly as described. They’re not overly big, which means they can tuck into places to keep cool, but also they don’t stay frozen just as long as the bigger ones. Overall, good value for money.

They came, unbranded, unpacked, in two separate deliveries. They are green, thin, flimsy and basically a cheap equivalent to the photo. I would expect to buy 6 of these from poundland at this quality.Don't waste your timep.s. I would have given it 0 stars if it was possible.

This product is okay but two of the ice packs have bulges in them when they freeze. They are still usable but not as easy to fit neatly into smalle freezer bags and the slide all over the place if trying to place them neatly on top of other items in the freezer. Functionally they are able to do the job but not without minor issues.

Nice size for our camping cool boxes.15cm x 8cm is vety useful size to pop in various places. NOTE - mistake in the lower descriptive text says 17 x 9. They ARE 15 x 8. No leaks - so far - and stay frozen and useful for 4 or 5 hours in our 32ltr cool box.Great price - try pricing them up at your local camping shop.

I was intrigued by the review comments about varying sizes. I just accurately measured (in their unfrozen state) the ones I received and they are : 16.1 cm x 9.4 cm x 3.2 cm.They (obviously) swell slightly when frozen. I've found them to be very good at what they are intended for. No complaints. Like any freezer block, the full benefit is only realised when they are very thoroughly frozen for at least 24 hours (I'd say) to really get them solid.

Yes they're freezer blocks. Yes there's 6 of them. No they're not 2.5cm thick as advertised. They're half that.These will help to keep things cool but not for as long as decent sized ones. Too late to send back before going camping.
