Exactly as it should be.
It arrived unharmed and ready for use! Bought it new, so i did expect it to come wrapped, scratchless, and ready to go, which it did! Very happy with my purchase (๑˃̵ ᴗ ˂̵)و

God I love my Wii. (*u*)
So, I played Harvest Moon 64 on the N64 back in the day and it was insanely addicting. I memorized everything about that game, exhausted the cartridge til it nearly caught fire. And 10 years later, after I recently bought a Wii, decided to buy Magical Melody because of its rating and the price point. ($10?! YES PLEASE!!)So in all honesty, I popped it in, played for 15 minutes, then stopped playing for three months because I was being a stingy "this isn't as good as the original" player. Then I said to myself, "Once you memorize the map, it will be fine." And oh how right I was.I... LOVE this game. My schedule right now is work 10-8, go home and make dinner, then play this til midnight and go to sleep. DAILY. I like it even better than the N64 version, now that I see all the upgrades. But it's pretty loyal to the first game.So this is appealing to the addictive collector side of me. It's called "Magical Melody" because the Goddess turns into a statue because... well I forgot why. But she's a statue, and you are given a list of 100 things that you do to grant you "musical notes." Every 5 notes you get, you take it to the little goddess clearing and the 5 notes turn into a musical instrument. According to some play-throughs, you don't even have to collect all of them, and you don't even have to finish the story in the game if you want. You have your rival, Jamie (WHO I GUESS IS A GIRL?! Most adrogynous girl I've ever seen) who you are competing with in terms of shipment, crops, farming, and overall money intake. With THAT out of the way, you pretty much are given a home. Now the huge different from the N64 version to this one is that you can buy different plots of land. You pick the original spot you want (you get a choice between 2) and then you have your basic house. HM stays loyal to its roots by having its house upgrades of course, but you can buy land (you can buy even more land by befriending the mayor) and building MORE houses and barns and chicken coops. And of course, you can marry one of the bachelorettes in town, they're all cutesy and of a particular personality. Some you have to unlock by doing certain things to have them move into town, though. I haven't unlocked everybody but I'm already married because I have a thing for pink-haired girls.Animal-wise, you have your standard farm animals of course, but another different aspect is the ability to befriend wild animals. And by wild animals, I mean like, a sparrow, a weasel, a squirrel, rabbit, etc. There's a monkey, too, I don't know why. You have your pet dog and get a pet pig when you buy your first barn. Thankfully you don't have to feed him. Also, if you befriend the dolphin in the sea, he'll take you to some island. I have yet to do that...Control-wise, I have no qualms regarding the camera or controls. Of course, the occasional "use the tool on the wrong spot and lose a bit of health" thing is really annoying but if you're not rushy-rushing, it's no big deal.Other aspects of the game are fishing (which looks suspiciously like Animal Crossing), mining for jewels and medicinal roots and ore, and basic foraging. The townspeople are adorable and true to HM, the shops are all closed on their own specific day of the week and there are always the monthly festivals which are a little treat.Overall, I adore this game and love the replayability. I just got married to the pink-haired girl and am waiting the 30 days to have a baby. :P So if my hours upon hours of gameplay say anything, I highly recommend this game to the addictive gamers not looking for bloodshed or insane plot twists. Or awesome graphics. Or something to play through in 8 hours and be done with.

Ordered from Amazon - Listed as USED but came BRAND NEW SEALED
I'm a video game collector, and I took a chance ordering this one from Amazon without being able to check out the actual quality of it first. I gotta say, I was happily surprised to receive a brand new complete copy, still sealed!Game Wise - This is one of the best Harvest Moon games in the series, if you ask me. (Besides maybe HM64 & some of the other classics). It's got an adorable style with one of the more difficult story-lines to complete, tons of characters to interact with and many options for marriage. If you like nature, music, magic, adorable things, and rainbows...Def get this game.

Fun game but not what I was expecting
The gamecube version of this game is what i played as a child. After purchasing 2 used GC and neither working, I decided to order this game and was so excited that it came for the Wii. However, I didn't realize it was a little different from the original. For example, you cannot play as the girl character. Still a fun game but not what I was expecting.

Still a great game, BUT
this game was basically my childhood when I had a GameCube. When I found out there was a Wii version, it was one of the first games I bought for it. Still a great game, BUT, unlike the GameCube version, you have to play as a boy, instead having a choice between boy or girl. So that was a bit dissapointimg. But still a good game.

So much fun to play this game again
I purchased this game from an independent seller, but it arrived in perfect condition, and is so much fun. I’ve been experiencing a crazy amount of nostalgia from picking this game up again, and the animation is so cute. Definitely worth the purchase if you’re missing some childhood fun 😋
