This is a brilliant carphone attaching device. It uses a magnetic system, so long as you are happy to have a circular piece of metal stuck to your carphone/satnav back, then you are good to go.The other part assembles easily, it has a ball-socket nut/screw part and a clamp on the back to clamp to an interior car fan blade where your vents will be as shown in the illustration. The magnet does the rest.The clamp holds very strongly and you open it by pushing down on a button at the top. Cannot be more simpler than that, and there's an additional larger rounded rectangular piece of metal for larger devices to be attached. the magnet is very strong and does not interfere with any electronic gear connected. Excellent device!

I have an iPhone 8+ and despite the blurb saying it will work with it, it does not. The grips that hold the unit in place are very short compared to the rest of the holder and in less than an hour of fitting it my phone has pulled the holder off the vent twice. It comes with 2 plates to put on your phone, a small round one about an inch in diameter and a larger rectangular version. The rectangle has no sticky pad on it so I tried just putting it inside my case. It slides around inside and the case must be a bit too thick to get a decent hold and the phone falls off easily. I directly stuck the round one to the outside of my case and it holds strongly but the phone just pulls the holder out of the vent. Might work with a very light, small phone but not for anything larger.

This is great for holding the phone up in the car without using any of the standard claw like clamps out there. They always look like you're working as a discount taxi service. Once the phone is on it is covered up out sight so the phone looks like it is floating. My only issue is that the phone combined with the weight of the mount can sometimes make the fan vent tilt and angle the phone towards the floor. But still the strength of the magnet means it is not going anywhere, just a pain if you're using your phone for maps etc.

Works well and as it is matt black it is not such an eye sore on the dash when no phone in place. I tried the Ubegood one which felt like it had a stronger magnet and was cheaper but was chrome so I sent it back as i didnt like the look as much as this one.Comes with everything you need to fit and seems to hold my HTC One M8 phone well even over speed bumps it has not fallen off.Only snag with all these is some phones think they are being turned off / put to sleep because of the magnet. With the HTC you can turn that off in the settings, but you have to locate it!

Very robust product...I purchased a separate dashboard pad and stuck my holder on to that to save my dash. Plus I can just transfer it to other cars then.The package came with 3 base sticky pads and 3 circle magnets for 3 diff devices and 1 larger oval magnet.The ONLY quarm I have is the sticky back on the smaller circle pads isn't.... great... when the magnets to bloody powerful! It pulled it off my mob when i went to remove it.... if you get a cheap plastic case you could superglue it on that.. I've done that myself... or!! Put the magnet inside a thin case??

Bought 2 holders, one for myself and one for a passenger unfortunately the phone magnets are not strong enough to hold in place an iPhone 6s as we both experienced problems with the phone falling from the magnet. Such a shame as they would have been ideal. I wouldn’t recommend these unless you have possibly a small phone.

The worst thing about this product is that it looks initially like it may work. I managed to keep the clamp on the vent for about six minutes of driving, before a small bump rippled through the car taking the clamp with phone still attached into the passenger footwell. Boom. Sixty-eight quid of Samsung J7 screen damage and replacement costs.Avoid like the plague. Garbage product.

Great little product really easy to use. Wish they sold the phone magnetics separately so when you change phone case you don't need to buy the whole thing again.Doesn't hold large phones very well. But holds my Huawei fine.
