Do extra rockets need specific launching pads or are they interchangeable?** A: The rockets need a launch pad with a guide rail that fits the plastic straw guide you glue on the side of the rocket. You also need a battery pack launch controller (with fresh batteries). Estes sell these products. We have built and flown hundreds of these rockets. Kids are always thrilled! Great product. 5-10 yr olds will need hands on adult supervision during construction. Foot note: We always tell kids a successful launch does not guarantee a successful recovery. Your launch area needs to be really big. That means you should always have a spare kit in the closet... **Q: Do I need to buy an engine for each rocket or is it reusable?** A: A rocket can be launched several times. Each launch will require a new engine. Engines are sold in 3 packs and 24 packs called bulk packs. Each engine package has starters and plugs to hold starter in. If purchasing 3 packs you will need wadding as well. Bulk packs come with 75 sheets of wadding. **Q: What exactly do I need to order other than the rocket set.** A: You will need, white glue (Elmers) is kid friendly, scissors, spray paint, rocket engines, a launch pad, launch controller, 12 volt battery. Be sure to cut the vent out of the top of the parachute. You will need a very big wide open field, these rockets fly very high, and can drift 150- 300 yards as they parachute back to earth.
