These are the first pair of poles that I've bought so I'm unable to compare them to others. I had booked a walking holiday in the lake district and had hurt my knee prior to going. The poles take a fair bit of body weight when walking which was a big help. They are a reasonable price, comfortable in the hand and easy to adjust. I was very pleased with them.

These are the third pair of poles I have purchased so feel I can make a reasonable evaluation. I have used them over 30 miles of terrain covering road, pebbles, sand, tarmac and woodland.Good points.1. Comfortable handles. Cork grip removes sweat.2. Straps are the best I have used. They are wide so you get a good push off. They are easy to adjust and easy to fix. It is worthwhile playing around with them in advance to get the right feel.3. Adjustable poles. There is a locking nut together with a clip. This makes the pole stable. Some have complained that they break. It can only be because they have over extended the bottom pole. The bottom pole should not be extended longer than the middle pole.4. Tips. A wide variety to meet different terrains. Trial and error needed to select the appropriate oneNow the bad points1. A lack of shock absorption. This can make the poles bounce but what do you want for the money?2. Straps. A little complicated and tough to lock in place. I don’t bother because I like them a little lose3. Locking system. A bit chunky. However, the previous two sets of poles I have had failed with the screw down click system4. Tips. The ones provided are adequate. It is worthwhile to purchase other ones.All in all, these poles meet my expectations for the price. I will be taking them up Kili.

I did quite a lot of research about Nordic Walking before buying these. Proper Nordic Walking Poles should be handed, ie, left and right are different, these are both the same therefore you do not get the correct grip for the Nordic Style of walking. Also the hand straps are useless, they cannot be adjusted to enable them to be used in the correct technique. my fault, I should have looked more closely at the pictures and compared them with others.

I bought the poles thinking they were Nordic Walking Poles but I was told there are not by an instructor in our walking group.So unless my instructor is extra fussy, all I know is I had to buy another pair and these went to a charity shop.

Look great, very sturdy, worked well so far. Everest Base camp Trek in 2 weeks to put them to the test properly.

Buy cheap pay twice. Well these were more expensive than my first pair which virtually fell apart coming down Snowdon. The iZarin were brilliant in the Scottish Highlands. I bagged four Munro's, some in deep snow, lots of boggy gorse and rocky paths. Just perfect. Fold up really quickly. I'm delighted with them.
