I’m normally an XL but this was a smidge tight fish. **Q: Please state if regular or slim or custom fit** A: Don't bother i'm sure their 2nd's all the shoulder seams were twisted,poor quality shirts. **Q: what size would be recommended for a 40" chest and are they loose or snug fit?** A: Not quite sure how it will fit a 40inch chest size. I normally wear a XL-XXL shirts/T-shirts for comfort. In there I chose the XXL and the length is excellent but it can be a little snug but not a ‘slim fit’ **Q: Is item custom fit or slim fit or regular fit** A: I found it a little tighter than regular but that might be the beers. Although fairly happy with Nike I found the comfort a bit off and the shirts seemed a little shorter in length than I would have liked so here I am trying Canterbury and what a find.Great quality, super comfortable and the fit is absolutely spot on. I can't fault anything with this shirt and considering I spent £13 it's an absolute steal.
