Great Upgrade!
A great upgrade to my Mexican fender, swapped them out as easy as pie, they hold tune, and look great. Super quick for an on the fly change if gigging or at home. Usual original Fender quality. A no brainier for upgrading your cheaper Fender to that American spec standard!

Drop In Replacement for MIM Fenders
Fantastic product - direct drop on replacement for the existing turners on my mexican 60th anniversary telecaster.Only tool needed to fit them is a 10mm socket.Tuning is massively improved - the gearing is much tighter, no slop and great tuning stability - great upgrade for a reasonable price too.

Class leading.
My favourite locking tuners. Top quality and easy to fit if you have a fender guitar already. Otherwise get a fine drill point and tape the drill bit so you don't go too deep for the two retaining posts.

Fender locking tuners
Just fitted and went on like a dream. Direct fit upgrade over the original non-locking versions. Very simple to operate. Don't over-tighten; there's no need as the string grip is firm with finger tightnessAlso, the turn ratio of 18:1 is better than the non-lockers at 14:1 so more precise tuning available. It's 22 nov so will have to see how tuning stability fares over a while, but that's the main reason I got them; to minimise slippage.Very quick to change strings and tune up though. Not that it takes 4ever anyhoo 😀 but deffo a bonus if u need to at a gig.In addition, I got these for a bargain £35.99 because I already had a gift voucher to apply so happy days.

Essential upgrade
These make restringing and tuning far quicker, well worth the upgrade. They’re also very, very easy to install if you’re putting them on a Fender neck. They have slots that align with pre-drilled holes on the headstock. All you need is a Philips head screwdriver; it’s literally idiot-proof.I mention this as I bought them and my local music shop quoted me £60 to install them. That seemed high so I gave it a go; it took ten mins to remove the old ones and put the new ones in. I was drunk and playing Call Of Duty at the same time. Checked them the next day, a perfect job.

Very good, but a bit overpriced ...and they're made in Korea not USA
I have a 1997 Standard American Stratocaster and they were very easy to install - just a simple straight swap. The only tool required is a 10mm spanner. They also look fantastic. From the front they look exactly the same as my original tuners. I only installed them yesterday, but so far the ease of string change and tuning stability of the guitar is vastly improved.I didn't need to remove either of my roller string trees. I was glad about that because I didn't way to have to remove one and leave an ugly screw hole visible. Despite me fitting the staggered tuners, both string trees are still engaged with the strings (maybe slight less so because of some of the shallower angles that resulted from fitting the new tuners), so their presence is still useful.A few points - I had assumed they were made in USA, and was a bit disappointed to see "made in korea" on the packaging. Quality seems perfectly OK and this doesn't concern me, but the seventy odd quid I paid for the tuners is certainly a "made in the USA" price! I've deducted a star or two from my review as a result.A word of warning - if you use a wall hanger, you might find that the tightening screw on the rear of the lowest tuner rests on it when the guitar is hanging. DO NOT allow this to happen as I'm sure it will get damaged, distorted or snap off over time! You'll need to source a different wall hanger that doesn't clash, or use a floor stand. I'm going back to my floor stand for now until I can find a suitable wall hanger.

The Glorious Chrome Wizardry That Ended My String-Winding Misery.
Changing guitar strings on standard tuning pegs is a deeply miserable, primitive ritual that fundamentally belongs in the Dark Ages. You are forced to thread a razor-sharp piece of steel wire through a microscopic hole, leave precisely enough slack, and then furiously twist a tiny metal knob until your forearm catches fire and threatens to physically detach from your shoulder. During this ordeal, you must also execute something called a luthier's knot, an arcane bit of witchcraft that requires the manual dexterity of a Swiss watchmaker and a PhD in maritime rigging. So, when I decided to overhaul my trusty old Fender Blacktop Stratocaster, I knew the traditional pegs had to immediately go in the bin. My American Deluxe Stratocaster came out of the factory sporting locking tuners, and I absolutely adore them, so outfitting the Blacktop with this exact technology was a mandatory operation.I fully anticipated these aftermarket replacements to be somewhat inferior. I assumed that, much like the PRS SE locking tuners compared to their vastly superior, proper American counterparts, these would be a slightly compromised, budget-friendly imitation. I was completely and utterly wrong. They are spectacularly brilliant, and they perform exactly as well as the original equipment on my flagship American model.Installing them is astonishingly straightforward. As a true drop-in upgrade, they slot straight into the existing holes on the headstock with absolute, millimetre-perfect precision. There is no drilling, no frantic woodworking, and no screaming in terror as you irreversibly mutilate your beloved instrument. You simply push them in, tighten the bolts on the front, and the job is entirely finished.Once they are bolted down, the aesthetic transformation is genuinely hilarious. The polished chrome catches the studio lighting beautifully, making my heavily played, workhorse Blacktop look like a battered agricultural tractor that has suddenly been fitted with the solid silver door handles from a Rolls-Royce Phantom. But the true majesty of these 18:1 staggered tuning machines is revealed the moment you actually restring the guitar. You simply pull the string taut through the eyelet, tighten the locking mechanism on the back with your thumb, and turn the peg a fraction of a rotation until it reaches pitch. That is it. No slipping, no stretching, no agony. It is as effortlessly simple as completely ruining a crisp white shirt while eating a massive bowl of spaghetti. The tuning stability is nothing short of miraculous. You can enthusiastically abuse the whammy bar, bend the strings until they are threatening to snap, and viciously attack the fretboard with a heavy plectrum, and the guitar simply refuses to drop out of tune. At around £69, this is not just a shiny accessory; it is unequivocally the single most effective, stress-destroying upgrade you can possibly bolt onto a Stratocaster. Stop wasting your life endlessly winding bits of metal, buy a set of these immediately, and step into the glorious, frustration-free future.

Mega!
Richtig gut!
