Brilliant value and great fun
This is a bargain at £10.I chose to get a scooter for my 5 year old, because he is no longer confident on his bike (with stabilisers)after a couple of falls. Someone told me that a two wheel scooter is a great way for children to gain confidence in their balance. Unlike a bike, it is so much easier for them to skip off when they lose balance, that they are unlikely to have falls. From my point of view, the scooter is also much better than his bike because it is so small and lightweight. Not only could you carry it one hand, but it easily folds up (without the need for tools), and I hook mine over the back of my baby's pushchair. You can literally 'take it anywhere'.I have also tried out the scooter myself, and it is great fun. The handles extend for taller people to use them (again - without the need for tools)- so your child can continue using it as he grows.Long term, I would love to see my boy ride a bike, but for now, this is a good alternative, and at £10 you can't really find anything to complain about.

Good for the money but only sized for younger children.
Bought these for an 8 year old.I have to say there is nothing wrong with the quality of the items, they are cheap budget scooters and you get what you pay for. They will last a year maybe more but for the money you can't expect more. The only thing I would say is that they are to small for an 8 year old even at their highest setting on the handle bars.If you have very young children then they will be perfect but for 7-8 years and up i'd say look for a larger scooter.

Great Scoots!!
When this scooter arrived it was easy to assemble but had been bashed during transport and one of the handle bars would not insert properly. We managed to hammer it out though and apart from this initial misshap it is a brilliant buy. It is well made, portable and quite attractive. Both my boys aged 6 and 10 like it so I am buying another for big son. It is about the best value thing I have bought for a tenner delivered and I wholly recommend.

Value for money. Recommended
Good one. I am satisfied overall. My 7 year old son is really enjoying the same. Fantastic looks with the steel and blue combination it looks strong and sturdy. It has a rough foot grip to prevent a slip of foot. However, this item don't have a stand. It either need to be kept in support to a wall or keep it lie or fold. Not a big issue and can be managed.Overall I recommend this product.

Misleading photo and not well made
Our 4 year old son was very disappointed that the wheels and handle grips are actually dark purple not blue. The box states that there may be some variation in colour! On the first outing one of the plastic handle grip covers shattered when the scooter fell over. Generally it rattles and is too poorly put together compared to some others we have bought. It may do for this summer but I'll be surprised if we'll still have it when there is a need to raise the handlebars to the top setting.

Very cheap - you get what you pay for!
My son has now been through two of these scooters - I bought the second one in a moment of insanity thinking we must have been unlucky with the first. They are very badly made and both have fallen apart within a month or so of moderate use. Particular weak point seem to be the folding mechanism, which I had to mend a couple of times on both when the bolt worked loose, and the front wheel, which has a tendency to fall off. I think the metal must be poor quality as some bits have just snapped off, leaving jagged edges.I have given it two stars instead of one because it's so cheap. It's been a false economy for us though - I'm spending a bit more next time.

Does the job
Cheap and cheerful - looks sturdy enough for my eight year old to hurl around - can't see the point of spending alot of money for something that will get trashed anyway - it makes him smile and that's enough for me!Update: scooter lasted about six months because the gap between the brake and the wheel was too narrow so stones and debris when flicked up got trapped in the gap and so you suddenly couldn't depress the brake - tricky if you're hurtling downhill and also tricky when you get home and the gap is too narrow to prise the bits out to clear it - gave up in the end as it was happening too often now have an 'untrashable' JD Bug

but the one that came was not the colour we ordered
specifically ordered a blue scooter and it appears as blue on the original order, came in a box that looked as if it would contain a blue one but we got a purple one - and now clicking on order to leave this feedback, it appears as a purple! we needed scooter urgently, so returning was not an option - but someone somewhere got something wrong here which was really disappointing. First time we've not got what we ordered from Amazon.
