KRAFUN Princess & Castle Lacing Cards Age 3+ | 5 Projects

I purchased these cards for a 3yr old and 5yr old. One is autistic and the other has ADHD. They both were intrigued and enjoyed the challenge of threading the lace through the holes. These cards, are great for reading readiness, patience, concentration and creating a project. They continue to practice and will soon master them. The cards are durable, and yet the thickness is just right for little hands. I would repurchase these again for other children, whether they have autism or ADHD, or not.

​My toddler recently saw me cross-stitching and was captivated. I knew it was time to introduce her to lacing cards. After researching several options, I chose this kit. * ​Mess-Free & Travel-Friendly: This kit has zero mess. * ​ The animals are made of thick, durable cardboard. We have favorites that have been stitched and unstitched several times, and they still look excellent. ​* The cut holes are smooth, with no sharp edges. The lacing tips are the perfect length for little hands to grip, and the cord itself is sturdy and doesn’t unravel. * The only downside is that the laces are slightly longer than the stitch path. My 3-yo often doesn't pull the entire stitch through, leaving loose loops. Her arm isn't quite long enough for the full range of motion needed for the final pull. It requires some patience and teaching at first! ​A Proud Moment: This kit trains fine motor skills, coordination, focus, and order. While I did the first few stitches with her, my daughter can now complete a card blindly. She guides the needle from the back to the front by touch alone, without turning the card over. I am incredibly proud! This is a perfect educational tool and a lovely gift.

I was looking for sewing cards (“lacing cards”) for 2-4 yr. olds and this product delivered! These cards are of great quality, the holes are punched well and are of appropriate size for the lacing cords to fit through easily, and the lacing cords are also of excellent quality. There are 10 in a box, which is generous these days. My lacing cards are zoo-type animals and on the reverse side of each card it teaches what animal that lacing card is—in 5 languages! I feel this simple early-childhood learning game certainly exceeded what I was expecting! My thanks to the KraFun company!

These cute animal stitching cards are well made. The string included I’d long enough to complete the task. Very colorful and a fun activity. I do believe it is still a little advanced for a 26 month old even though she can string block shapes on a string easily, she hasn’t gotten the concept of alternating the string over and through the hole then under and through the whole. With practice she will get it. I do believe it is more suitable for a 3 year old. Well made and worth the price.

Our little one has mastered stringing wooden beads on a shoestring so I thought this would be something she would like to do. The cards are thick cardboard that are easy to handle by little hands. The cards are a good size and the animals are very colorful. The holes in the cards are a decent size so little ones can lace them pretty easily. On the back of the card the holes are numbered 1, 2, 3 with an arrow showing the direction to lace the card. I'm not sure the hole you start at or the direction of lacing really makes any difference, but it's nice to have that structure to give kids something to follow. There are 10 animal cards and 10 shoestring laces. Our little one recognized every one of the animals, but the name of each animal is on the back of each card, in five different languages. We are enjoying the safari animal set so much I will probably order at least one of their other lacing card sets.

Toddler loves it! She can sew so many creative renditions! She’s learning the chain stitch, backstitch, loves lashing the cards together… Great quiet-time activity! Wish it came with a sturdy storage bag.

Three-year-old can easily create!

Lacing cards are nice and thick. Very sturdy. Strings are brightly colored—ends have plastic tips like a shoe lace. Very well made of a bygone era. When opened, it all fits nicely in a sewing box. It’s a great start to safe sewing and crafting for tots & kids.

Well made product, cards are very sturdy and easy to hold, the laces are high quality, thick and easy to handle. The card images are cute and fun. Lots of learning options with ideas like racing to string the cards, doing every second hole or third hole to help with counting and following instructions, etc.

Great first step to learning to sew. Kid loved it and would recommend
