I love this teapot. My beautiful iron Japanese pot with the raised dimples is nice to look at but dysfunctional in every way. This teapot is such a relief! No more dripping all over the bar, no more iron rust rings on every surface. This teapot has a very nice design and a four cup capacity (perfect for two large mugs of tea). It has a beautiful stainless steel insert. The lid fits snugly down and will not fall off even when inverted. I got lilac and it is so pretty to look at with an artistic roundness to it.

This was to be a gift, but after a mishap with an other company, I returned to Sweese. I had gotten a larger pot a few years back & we've really liked it. I have quite a few friends & neighbors who drink tea & was planning on gifting this. But after opening it & checking it to make sure it was intact, I had to keep it. I will be buying more to replace the gift that didn't quite happen, but these are truly some of the best teapots I've owned. The lid doesn't always fit snuggly, but for the price? Great value. I like the fact that the lid & pot are ceramic. The tea filter is versatile, & easy to use with the handles. No burned fingers. 27 oz size is perfect for two people. These will make wonderful gifts!

Very sweet little teapot, came packaged very well and arrived intact. I live alone and so it's a perfect size for me. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that the lid has no flange and so unless the strainer is left in place, there's nothing to stop the lid from flying off! Just be aware to hold on to it when you're pouring without the strainer.

The lilac 27-ounce teapot looks more periwinkle, which I love, and actually holds close to 32 ounces of water, so makes more tea than expected. Very pretty glossy finish. Arrived very well packed in a box with styrofoam. When making tea, I discovered that I need to push the metal insert down into the teapot--it doesn't just rest in place without pushing it in--and then push the lid down into the insert. The only drawback is that the lid fits loosely without the insert, so you need to hold the lid down while pouring. Poured nicely without dripping onto the tea cozy as long as I poured carefully. Very happy with my purchase! Would buy again as a gift.

The teapot itself is perfect! Great size, easy to clean, not too heavy. But I purchased it because it was described as lilac. The manufacturer and I have different definitions of lilac. I think of lilac as a pink-violet color...definitely a shade of purple. This is not lilac; it is pale blue with no hint of purple. I'm keeping the teapot because it will serve its purpose, and in the grand scheme of things to complain about, this is minor. However, look elsewhere for anyone wanting a lilac teapot because this one will leave you disappointed in the color.
