For years I have always managed to kill my house plants, to the point where I just stopped buying them. Turns out I was always OVER watering them, and the roots would then rot and die. This gadget is perfect to avoid this and likewise under-watering - no batteries needed, just put it into the plant soil, and it'll show you if it too wet, too dry, or just right - thats it! Literally that simple. Once used, give it a quick wipe with kitchen roll to clear any soil/moisture (and avoid rusting), then use as required. Your plants will give you an indication of not being quite right - such as floppy leaves, or turning yellow - this little device will let you know if you need to add or leave off the water - end of. It won't rescue every plant, but it'll give the majority a fighting chance - Cheap as chips and very reliable - for non-green fingered folk like myself! 100% worth a tenner

This is great if youre a plant person and really want to kniw more specifically when to water and when not to. The product is rather big and clunky so in smaller plants its probably.not ideal. However, for bigger potted plants you can easily hide it behind the foliage. The front has easily readable metrics so you dont need more instructions than that. Dry, moist and wet. It literally tells you when to water and when not to. It was quite cheap and it does feel quite cheap - However it does the job and seems pretty sturdy so thats all you need. It doesn't have batteries or anything, it works when the metal rod touches the soil and moves the needle depending on the wetness of your plant.

This soil moisture meter is amazing. I wasn't sure whether to water my plants or not and I used this soil meter to see and I was really surprised. It certainly saves my plants from being too dry or waterlogged. A great gadget for all your plants. It reads well, I like the size and appearance too. Worth buying I'd say.

I'm a chronic overwaterer in the winter months, so decided to buy a soil meter. I have tested out and so far seems pretty accurate. I would definitely buy it again. You literally don't have to do anything except stick it in the soil, it's very easy to use. Thank you.

I'm disappointed. I understand that in the air the moisture meter should be between 0-1. When I hold mine upright it says 4-5, when I lay it flat it says 1. It's clearly broken and I'm having to return it 😢

With the Uk heatwave purchased this to ensure only watering where needed - I have 60 roses! Chose this as no batteries needed which in my eyes means less things to go wrong with the device as it will get a lot of use so if I need soil PH or other testing abilities I’d purchase something else for those. I’m using kitchen roll to wipe in between each test. It has been really accurate and quite surprising - areas of the garden I thought that would be dry were moist including some pots I’d been watering daily without needing to. Also discovered some very dry zones I wasn’t aware of. I have a mix of clay/chalk soil so moisture retention varies a lot. Really pleased with purchase, will save me time watering only where needed and do my bit to save water!

Aussitôt arrivé aussitôt utilisé avec cette vague de chaleur, j'ai testé l'appareil et pour dire c'est vraiment trop utile. Heureusement car mon monteur manquait d'eau. Par contre c'est bon pour mes autres plantes. Je recommande pour tout les jardinier en herbe comme moi.

Ich habe von Zimmerpflanzen keine Ahnung und ich habe auch keinen grünen Daumen, aber ich habe mir eine Bougainvillea angeschafft, die ich mir schon länger gewünscht habe, weil ich ihre Blütenpracht so faszinierend schön finde. Seit einigen Wochen darf ich sie nun bereits bewundern, aber sie hat wohl nach dem Stress des Lieferungsprozesses einen großen Teil Blüten und Blätter abgeworfen. Inzwischen treibt sie kräftig, jedoch leider ohne neue Blüten anzusetzen. Ok, ich habe mich informiert und demnach ist unsere Bougainvillea zu feucht. Die Pflanze steht in einem Gemisch aus Erde und Substrat, die Oberfläche schaut trocken aus, auch wenn ich den Finger hineinsteckte fühlte es sich sehr trocken an. Dann habe ich entdeckt, dass es speziell für Pflanzen Feuchtigkeitsmesser gibt und diesen hier aufgrund der guten Rezensionen bestellt. Das war genau richtig, denn sonst hätte ich meine blühende Schönheit wohl bald kaputtgepflegt. Das Messgerät kommt ohne Batterien oder ähnliches aus, es wird einfach in den Boden bzw Pflanztopf eingesteckt, binnen Sekunden wird die jeweilige Feuchtigkeit angezeigt. Anders als ich vermutet hatte, bleibt das Messgerät aber nicht in der Pflanze, es muss immer wieder schnell entnommen werden, dann abgewischt und außerhalb der Pflanze verbleiben, denn sonst würde die Messeinheit wohl korrodieren. Ich war hochgradig irritiert, wir hatten im Bereich der Bougainvillea zT sehr hohe Temperaturen und ich habe sie vor mehr als 8 Tagen zuletzt gewässert und dennoch zeigte mir die Anzeige, dass zuviel Feuchtigkeit im Boden ist. Das war auch bei unseren anderen beiden Pflanzen der Fall. Ich war genauso überzeugt, dass unsere Glücksfeder trocken sein müsste von meinem Gefühl ausgehend, aber nein, sie war ebenfalls leicht zu feucht. Ohne die Anzeige durch dieses Messgerät hätte ich dies nie bemerkt und unseren Pflanzen somit nicht gut getan. Ich möchte dieses Messgerät nicht mehr missen wollen. Für Laien, die sich mit Zimmerpflanzen kaum auskennen, ist diese Hilfe besonders empfehlenswert, denn es schenkt Klarheit darüber, ob die Pflanzen wirklich Wasser benötigen.Das Gerät ist sehr leicht, wirkt gut verarbeitet und ist auch gut ablesbar. Also absolute Kaufempfehlung für diesen nützlichen Helfer.

Da quando ho comprato questo sensore, è molto facile capire se il terreno è davvero asciutto o meno. Lo amo
