This guitar tuner was a great hit for the holidays. My niece just took up playing the guitar and she loves it. She has grand dreams of being the next big thing and of course we all support her goal. As a family, we all decided to get her gifts that would help her achieve it. I knew her grandparents were getting her all sorts of old music to listen to for different styles. Her parents had a gift card to help buy her a new guitar but I had to keep my title of the "Cool Auntie" so I needed something to reflect that. I did a lot of research and learned that one of the things people want to do is learn how to tune their guitar by ear. I thought that was a neat thing I still do. Until one of my brother's buddies explained how it is a pain in the behind for people who have been playing for years. A true novice player needed something more reliable.I have been looking for a runner for her and I found this one and just knew it was the one for her. The instructions were nice and clear. She was able to use it right away and it has already made a difference in her playing. If you or someone you know plays the guitar you should get them one.

Accuracy is non-exitant in this tuner. Every free tuning app on my cell phone is way more accurate and stress free than this inconsintant POS device. Every time I take it back out it give it one more try it fails miserably. I should have returned before the window.

Very small but effective and easy to use. Tells precisely how far off the perfect note I am (whether flat or sharp) so it's easier to tune. Bought because my old one finally retired. Good price as well!

Does a good job tuning a guitar or bass. However, it does not respond very quickly. I can pluck a string, see what I need to adjust and as I adjust it the tuner will not change. It works much better at the 12th fret harmonic than the open string.

The I received fails to show A when trying to tune guitar. Maybe a one off, buts that's my experience.

You get what you pay for is best suited here. Cheap stuff for cheap price. Very disappointed .

My son was thrilled to receive this for christmas. It made a great stocking stuffer. He plays guitar and isn’t able to tune by ear yet. He had been using a phone app, but this is a lot better. It seems to pick up sound better and more accurately, making tuning much more smooth and efficient. It has a large, clear screen that can be angled for better visibility. It clamps onto the neck so it’s always in the right position. It has tuning modes for different instruments but he just uses it for guitar for now. If he ever goes back to playing violin too, he’ll be able to use for that as well.
