LG 43LJ624V 1000 Hz TV

I should state that I only use this as a monitor for a Raspberry Pi running Kodi, a Blu Ray DVD Player and also the Smart TV functions, so I have no comment as to how the tuner works.There are a few reasons for choosing this Full HD TV instead of a 4K TV. There is no 4k content that I have access to but also my viewing distance is such that the benefits of 4K are of no real value - I sit too far away to be able to make out the additional detail 4k would offer and I've found some examples of the colour rendering unrealistic. In addition I was concerned about up scaling SD content to 4k as this is not done well on some TVs. Finally I wanted a TV with an IPS panel rather than the more common VA panels. IPS has a much wider viewing angle and although some say that VA has better colour rendering I'm more than happy with the IPS panel colours.The picture quality is excellent once I set it up correctly using the Expert Mode and a Colour Chart. The standard settings were not to my liking.Sound quality is so-so but I don't use the internal speakers and send the optical output to some powered monitor speakers.The Internet function is good. I only have a 6Mbps internet connection and video streaming works very well. There are the usual free tv catchup channels plus a number of others that I have no interest in.The remote control/tv are CEC enabled so you can control other devices from the TV control. You need to enable this function in the settings.There is no printed manual, rather you have a browser based manual which you can either download or it's available on the TV via the smart function. To be honest it's useless and almost like having the instructions on how to open a box, inside the box. Some plug and playing is necessary to get the most out of it and there are still some items that appear on screen that I have no idea about.More than happy and would recommend this to anyone who wants this size TV and is not bothered about 4K

TV works well, not 1000hz disappointed with the description. Sound is very good.

On the whole very pleased with tv. Only criticism is that it is permanently left on standby unless switched off at the mains.
