These shoes are nice considering the price. However mine had a gluey patch about the size of a penny at the front of one of the shoes. The same shoe also had a couple of elongated glue marks. I tried to clean them off to no avail so I decided to return them. However when I went to the returns section they didn't have my size in stock anymore. I need the shoes for when I return to work and as my old ones leak I decided to keep them and hope the glue marks wear off in time with polishing. As I said, nice shoes and they fit well. Shame about the marks but for £23 they are still a bargain. I marked them down 2 stars because of the marks and because I couldn't get a replacement in my size so I had to keep them. To be honest I would still buy these again because of the price and the fit. ****Edited December 2014. I have just given my shoes their first polish and the glue marks came right off so I am very happy. I used REAL polish put on with a brush, left to dry then polished off with another brush and then buffed with a cloth, and not the rubbish liquid stuff sponged on and left to dry which manufacturers would have you believe is just as good...IT'S NOT. I now rate these as four stars.****

These are decent steel toe cap shoes. I wanted a pair that was more like regular smart black shoes (as opposed to boots / trainers) and these are the best I could find. They are a bit more cumbrous that normal smart work shoes, due to the steel caps, but they are much less cumbrous than other options I looked at. Some pairs felt like clown shoes to me, which I didn't like! My only gripe with these ones is that the steel caps are a bit harsh on my big toes, but I had this issue with other pairs I looked at, so I am guessing this is to be expected and normal for this type of shoe. I just wish there was more padding in the toe area on the inside - maybe I can purchase some sort of product to resolve that though. As for the size, it's spot on - if anything, a bit generous, so I wouldn't be tempted to order a size up. For £28, you can't really complain. Blackrock is a well known / reputable brand in this area, so I expect these shoes to last, but if there are any problems, I will be sure to update my review.

great shoes but the sole has started splitting after 3 months

Great shoes, Although I get through a pair in just under a year I’ve had a few of these , they are really comfortable and give great piece of mind being slip proof, heat resistant etc. wouldn’t hesitate in buying again 😎

I'm sorry for take this picture, but I hopefully will be a help for another people. I bought this shoes and just I used them for 2 months and I felt a lot of painful in my feet. I started to used another one and I worked very well, but I lost my another shoes in the bus and I used again this shoes and in one week who took it, now I took an ankle support for my pain. Of course each person is different but is my first time to have this problem with the shoes. Horrible experience honestly.
