Got the powder and film as not a fan of the polyester/poly cotton T-shirts In the U.K. and really wanted to sublimate onto cotton/canvas t-shirts and tote bags etc. I am really impressed with the results so far. You only actually use a small amount of the powder, so it’s gonna go a long way. Better value for money than I initially thought it was gonna be. I’m using it with sublimation ink in a converted epson ecotank printer and I am really pleased with the results…yet to try it with normal inkjet printer ink as some reviews have stated they did.

My first use of Yamation DFT powder didn’t turn out perfect. I use a standard inkjet printer and once I cover the print that I am using with the DTF powder, I cure it using a heat gun. I am a hobbyist and don’t have all the bells and whistles that a small business has. I don’t have curing machine/oven, DTF printers that use DTF ink or automatic shaker machines to spread the powder evenly over the print. So, my review is based on my home creation, using the above equipment. I received the silver pouch of powder 500g. I setup my test print from the Epson inkjet printer I have. The Epson I have is a fairly humble machine (cmyk inkjet). I took the print and covered the print in the Yamation DTF powder. The powder seemed to cover the printed areas well. When it came to curing the powder, I found that the powder didn’t properly cure the first time, because when I ran my finger across what I thought was cured, particles of uncured powder came off. I then cured the area again and it seemed to cured better. I am using a heat gun, but I have used it before on other DTF powder and got good results first time. Even after further curing of the powder, the transfer didn’t work as well as others I had used. Even when used with Yamations own DTF Transfer film. On the example prints you can see that both of these have imperfections. The print that is printed around the wrong way is printed using Yamation powder and film. The other is printed using Yamation DTF powder, but with a third-party film. Determine your own opinions on that. This is all obviously based on me printing using normal ink using a standard inkjet printer and curing using a heat gun and just using a hand held heat press, so some or all of these factors could have contributed to the printed outcome. In summary, I was disappointed with the results of this DTF powder and the resulting transfer image. There seemed to be spots of badly adhered transfer, when used with Yamations own DTF film, but when used with other film the powder worked ok. I believe if you can’t get an ideal result using DTF powder and film from the same company, that’s not good.

Disappointed with this product and currently has put me off of DTF printing, followed every instruction and temp to the exact point and cured and despite all efforts and a lot of money on cotton blanks my designs are all coming out patchy or not completely sticking! Despite what it looks like when I press? I’ve tried 8 different times and materials all the same! A lot of money to waste for no good outcome? No decent instructions which I had to try find ect! If you have money to waste try it but I will be trying a different brand I think despite this costing £24 for the bag More instructions are needed to be provided ect

Haven’t used any other powder so cannot compare but it worked well for me. Took a bit of trial and error but got there in the end.
