It is a fabric that has a mesh looking weave. No holes punched through.

Do these tend to slip in heel? I had similar shoes that fit otherwise, but heel kept slipping. Is there any heel padding to stop this?

They don’t slip in the heels on my feet. I do keep my shoes laced and tied. Just received my second pair of the same shoe but in a different color.
