    This is a general pregnancy relaxation CD and not specifically helpful for childbirth

This might sound obvious going by the title, but this is very much about general relaxation for pregnancy and doesn't directly deal with coping with childbirth.I say this because I'm 35 weeks pregnant and was hoping for something a little more directly practical for childbirth - something closer to hypnotherapy for birth. Having done yoga and pilates in the past, and so generally aware of relaxation methods, I didn't find that this CD really brought anything new and so I was a little disappointed.If you are someone who is struggling with relaxing and needs help to sleep, or is feeling anxious, this may well help. But if you'd like specific techniques for the birth itself, or you're expecting to learn about any of the more positive thinking methods around childbirth (such as changes in language from 'contractions' to 'surges', etc), then this product is unlikely to deliver.

This is good, though it's just a single 30ish minute track which I'm not sure I was totally clear on from the description. Very relaxing but you'd need to have read a Hypnobirthing book to get the most from it.

This CD was really helpful when my wife was pregnant, I don't know how we would have got through the emotional side of her pregnancy without it. We had IVF which is traumatic in itself so when my wife started to suffer with bad sickness and feeling low due to hormones that she had to take we found this CD was the best thing to support us both! We would highly recommend it to anyone who is willing to have an open mind and give something different a try!
