I did attach the uprights to the door trim on the building with U-clamps for added stability. They are well made and installation was no problem by myself, all pieces and parts present. While it is true, as I read in reviews and experienced, that water accumulates on the awning, it is easily corrected by lowering one side a couple of inches and water drains off well.
