Kilner 100% Cotton Muslin Cloth 50cm x 50cm Ideal for Straining, Preserving & Food Preparation

Very good product. I bought it to use for my cauliflower pizza to squeeze out the exceed liquid and it worked a treat! I have also made bramble gin in the past and this would also work wonders to squeeze all the excess liquid from the fruit. The size is also very good - not too big or small. Washes well at 30 degrees and dries quickly. I would rather use this than a tea towel as recipes often state.

Perfect for straining my ginger wine

Good quality muslin cloth. Has a pure white colour, no loose lint, strong cotton fibres, and tight weave. Unlike many other cloths out there. I have scalded it in boiling water per instructions, and it has retained all properties mentioned above. However, this procedure has deformed 6 out of 9 cloths that I own. They are no longer perfect squares. For this, I am detracting one star. They are also too expensive for their size in my opinion. It's almost £3 for just 0.25 m² of cotton.

This price is amazing for such a high end product. I wondered whether I needed to specifically use muslin for making elderflower cordial or whether any material would do, however the fabric weave is close enough not to let unwanted small bits through but wide enough to sieve fairly thick syrup. A cotton material would not do this.

Love these. Cut some lemon and limes in half and wrap them in the pieces of the muslin and tie with string...looks great on the side of the plate with fish and meat, salad or veggies...very good product. Muslin is also a very good material to use when cleansing your skin...especially the face! When using toners too. It is gentle on the skin and it is recommended by most good make-artists to use when cleaning skin! I often get free skin cleansing products to try and review and they nearly all come with a muslin cloth.... Multi-purpose uses...so an awesome item!

Just what I wanted/ needed

Cheap and arrived just in time to strain my elderflower cordial. Perfectly effective and reusable, arrived day after ordering, brilliant.

I purchased this as an add on item which meant it was good value for money but at the regular price I would have wanted more material. I used it for straining sloe gin which worked perfectly when doubled over but still let some sediment through at single layer. It stained purple from the sloe berries and after a boil wash was still not quite back to white but that is fine with me as it will only get purple after its next use.

Sono molto soddisfatta di questo acquisto. Ho adoperato il panno di mussola per filtrare il liquido delle vongole con l'aiuto di un colino conico e il panno ha trattenuto benissimo i residui di sabbia. Il panno si lava agevolmente e si asciuga rapidamente. Non si è deformato durante l'uso e il lavaggio e non si è sfilacciato perché ha un orlo resistente. È confezionato con un buon materiale e credo di poterne consigliare l'acquisto.

Je recommande cette mousseline car elle est de qualité, les finitions sont parfaites. Elle est bien 100% coton et ne bouge pas au lavage. Elle vous servira tant pour filtrer les confitures afin de faire de la gelée par exemple, pour clarifier le ghee ( beurre clarifié indien) ou pour "ensacher" un grand bouquet garni dans un plat mijoté " géant". C'est un accessoire de cuisine au très bon rapport qualité prix que je recommande comme accessoire de base pour tous les cuisiniers amateurs ou plus profs. En effet on y trouve toujours au final une utilité culinaire en plus de ce pour quoi on l'achète initialement ;-)

Outstanding quality

Produit de bonne qualité avec un grain très fin, plus fin que les étamines que j'ai pu voir dans les commerces de ma ville et surtout 2 à 3 fois moins cher. J'ai acheté ce produit pour faire cuire du fonio à la vapeur (graines crues aussi petites que des poussières), résultat parfait et le tissus n'a pas bougé. Très facile à laver aussi. Je suis tellement satisfaite de ce produit que je viens d'en commander d'autres pour ma famille et moi-même. Pas d'hésitation à avoir !

Già testato in più occasioni (come: filtraggio sughetto Vongole veraci, e lavaggio germogli di erba medica), ed esegue eccellentemente il suo lavoro! Date le dimensioni (50x50cm), può essere usato a singolo velo per filtrare su larghe superfici (ex. colapasta), oppure ripiegato a velo multiplo, per aumentarne il potere filtrante. Leggerissimo, asciuga in pochissimo tempo.
