Q: How do you know when bottle is full ?

Don’t fill above 80%. Make sure bottle is empty, work out 80% of its capacity in ltrs and use the gauge on the pump to fill the required amount. 1ltr of propane weights 0.5 kg. So a 15kg bottle would take 30ltrs to fill completely. 80% of 30 is 24. So a 15kg bottle will safely take 24ltrs propane.

Q: Can i use this to refill 15kg calor butane bottle?

No this is for propane..It will not fit butane. But I have had this for a year and saved so much money. Get a propane bottle and regulator and start saving. Plus propane doesn't freeze in the winter

Legally? Yes. It is not illegal to refill cylinders. Id keep it on the Lo as although legal its not financially on hand for likes of calor or shell to allow refills.

Q: Can I use this to refill a small Colemann bottle with my 12kg tank? or if someone could point me in the direction of what adapters I need please.

This adapter will allow you to fill the calories gas cylinders at a fuel station. I dont know the correct terminology for the type, all I can tell you is they're orange, with an "open and shut valve (tap), " and they're a left hand thread connection.
