K’NEX Imagine 52 Model Building Set for Ages 7+, Engineering Education Toy, 618 Pieces

The set is recommended for ages 7 and over. My kids 7 and 5 and they both really enjoy building sets This is not gender-specific, either girl or boy will enjoy this unique building set. This is a great set size, and comes with so many different kind of models to make that it's enjoyable for people and children who enjoy following instructions.Instructions are clear and easy to understand. It comes with about 600 pieces, and little kits grouped together for various projects.The "pros" are several:- Easy to follow instructions- Pictorial illustrations in the manual are very good- Pieces are very sturdy- You can make multiple toys from all the pieces in the box- Stimulates the imagination, encouraging children to "engineer" their own projectsWe can't think of any "cons" except that children younger than 7 may need some assistance at first, with clipping the pieces together and following the manual instructions.The product is priced well considering the amount of pieces and items that you can build, and is a nice change from Lego's and other commonplace sets.Highly recommended...

I'm a sucker for K'NEX and Lego so I bought this box for my 6 year old nephew who absolutely loves it.He had loads of Lego sets which is why I opted for K'NEX instead.The box is very well priced for the amount of possibilities and endless hours of fun that is had. He's already made his own little collection of cars without any instructions. He has also followed the diagrams and built toys from the book which he was thrilled with.The instructions are simple and easy to follow with plenty of pictures and are brilliant for giving kids the freedom to learn on their own.The box lid is rarely on as he's constantly rummaging through it for that 'one little piece he needs' so it's a massive relief to see him enjoying it so much.The only concern I have is for the clumsy parents who will no doubt stand on the pieces when they're left lying around!Brilliant product and when my little boy is old enough, I will be back in the market for something VERY similar, if not, the same item.Recommended.

My son always plays with K'nex when round his friends and since he has always loved to build with Lego I thought I would get him his own set K'nex.I was really impressed by the amount of creation from just the one box, which is a sturdy plastic crate and can be used to store both pieces and creations safely. You can build 52 different things with this set, using K'nex instructions and you can build endless more with you imagination.If you've got a creative or imaginative child who likes to create and has 'done' the Lego thing, then this set is ideal. Suitable for ages 7 and up, it does require a bit more dexterity than Lego as the pieces are smaller and not all uniform in their fittings, but it's a great way to fire their imagination, and get them off the video games (always a bonus). K'nex is also a great way for parents to interact with children and build together.

even tho it says 52 models and like 700 pieces sounds good a lot of them pieces are the tiny bits like spacers and endcaps and such not actually the rods wheels etc to make things if you know what i mean. its still a decent box of knex .. the tubs good size too i got two of this set in one tub. it does come with some pieces that allow you to connect the micro knex to the normal knex and there is some micro knex in there too (not much though) my daughter loves it keeps her busy for hours...

Got this for my sons 7th birthday as a step up from the old duplo he makes things with. You have to go online to get the instructions for the projects in the booklet, but already he's made a plane, giraffe, car.. And each one takes a while so its definately keeping him busy, and off the TV! I think there are something like 52 things they show you to make with this one set. He's also started making random things of his own. Only worry is that I hope it is solid enough, as some pieces need a good wack to slot into place. A great initial set though to get stuck into.

There are lots of great things to make with this set, though only a couple can be made at once. Unfortunately it isn't compatible with an existing set we had - I didn't know there were different sizes. In addition the pieces are very brittle, we had 4 broken bits in the first day of play which is very poor, some of the broken pieces were only present in small numbers meaning the choice of designs we could follow in the booklet was significantly reduced. Many of the designs need to be looked up on the website, but the website doesn't seem to work most of the time so we had to figure them out from the single small picture that was available. Overall very frustrating, there is great potential with this but it falls short of the mark in too many areas.

My sons use to construct models. I bought this for my 7 yr old. But my 16 yr old son is having just as much fun making stuff under the guise of helping his brother smile. A good amount of knex for money. Hopefully will but another set in future to mak building models even more fun. Comes in nice storage tub to keep the knex in was very satisfied Alhamdulilah.

This is the 2nd set I have bought of this set to augment the two other K'Nex sets my grandson has. It is worth knowing the box is not full, you get a lot of pieces but not enough to make all of the models on the box unless each model is dismantled to make another, hence the reason for another purchase. The pieces are made of good quality material non have been broken yet. My grandson (aged 8) loves K'Nex and he makes his own models without using the instructions. Great for developing creativity and dexterity. Highly recommend.

Buen producto que al niño le ha encantado. Le encanta construir con otro tipo de juegos y este también. Lleva 4 ruedas. La caja deja espacio para guardar alguna construcción pequeña. Mide en sus lados más largos aprox ancho 22 x largo 35 x alto 19,5

le costruzioni sono veramente divertenti.mio figlio ha 6 anni e si diverte davvero molto. avevamo in casa quelle di mio nipote (nato nel 91) ancora perfette...e con quelle passava ore a giocare.non le ho più trovate nei negozi e quando finalmente le ho trovate su amazon ne è stato felicissimola spedizione come al solito più che puntuale

Se lo regalé a mi prima de 5 años para que jugase tanto como jugué yo cuando era pequeño. Definitivamente el juego de construcción que más jugué de pequeño y que voy a regalar a cualquier niño que le tenga que hacer un regalo.El KNEX se ha vuelto bastante caro desde hace unos años, deberían volver a ponerlo a precios más asequibles.
