KitchenCraft Living Nostalgia Metal Biscuit Tin, Airtight, 14.5 x 19cm, Antique Cream

I always make 2 types of biscuits and I wanted a nice tin to keep them in. I have a round one and this one. I like it, it looks good on the counter top and handy when you want a biccy.

This is a very large, fantastic tin. I wanted to avoid fragile glass or ceramic. I also wanted something opaque and lightly coloured that wouldn't show every finger print. Hubby is mowing through packs of digestives, which are your larger cookie discs. Reviewers praised this tin for being spacious and it really is. Bought a 2 pack of digestive and could have fit both packs in at once easily. The lid comes off without a big argument, and it looks nice on my counter, tho I wouldn't recommend for inside a cupboard since it is on the large size. Great for serious biscuit eaters who want to be able to quickly snag one with their fresh cup of tea. As soon as I think of a use, I'm getting another! Also, it only says "biscuits" on one side, so you could turn that to face the wall if you want to put something else in it or want a plain look. Handle feels nice and secure. It tells you to hand wash then dry immediately. So easy to do thanks to its wide mouth and square shape. A definite winner! My pic shows the inside of my tin having just put a fresh pack of digestives in... look at all that space! :) I also took a pic of it next to a 2 pint milk so you can see its size. I bought this nostalgia biscuits canister to go with the tea coffee and sugar that I had previously bought. It is as expected, lovely colour and excellent quality. I don't use it for our biscuits though. I bought it to put our cat's dry food biscuits in. It holds a large box of GoCat perfectly. Some time ago I bought an animal Feed tin in the cream colour of this range. But I found that it was the perfect size for a sliced loaf of bread!! Because I couldn't find a bread bin small enough previously, I turned the tin round so the 'Feed' was not visible and it is perfect as my new bread bin. Hence buying this one for the cat! Lol. Lovely nostalgic range and a decent price. They are well made and will last for years to come. A super buy which suited me all round.

Nice biscuit barrel and looks good in kitchen. The rubber seal is rubbish on it and the lid comes off so easily - I struggle to believe it keeps any air out. Luckily I only use it for storing sealed cereal bars and not biscuits

Lid didnt fit properly

I have several of these in blue and the original cream. I like them because they are a useful size, designed it would seem, to fit common packet sizes. Being rectangular, they take up less space on my work top than the more common round canisters. The lids fit well, creating a seal that keeps the contents fresh. It is a pity that you cannot get unlabelled versions. I have things I would like to store in them other than the usual tea, coffee, flour and biscuits. I get round this by turning them round and writing my own label on them with a Sharpie. It works fine, but annoys me.

Absolut empfehlenswert, die Dose schließt gut ab, gut gemacht, vintage, schaut nicht billig aus. Habe aus dem Programm auch Kombostdose, very britsh, Producer China, na gut was nicht, auch zum empfehlen

Perfect size, very nice color. Fits just perfectly in our tackroom.

Being from England I liked this tin because it said biscuit on it, also the color green, the quality is really nice and sturdy and so far they have kept their crispness because of the nice tight seal on the lid.
