Although it's Not the tastiest but it does have high quality proteins, and it cuts down on carbs and sugar, unlike lower quality cheap Indian made protein bars from rite bite. Seller was prompt in replying to my query about the delivery and it arrived as promised.

These are the best bars I've found! They provide a good amount of protein, are high in fiber, and low in sugar and saturated fats. Plus, the calorie count is perfect for a snack!

Everything nugo makes is pure gold. The texture of these protein bars are nice and crunchy, sort of like a rice crispy. The flavor is always perfect, despite it being lower on the sugar at 3g, it doesn't taste like that. The flavor is well balanced. And the protein ratio is just insane at 17g/18g on some. It's just the perfect bars!! And the full slim line is vegan!! I avoided ones like the brownie and raspberry truffle forever because it didn't explicitly have the vegan certified label, but looking at the ingredients they are vegan!!

If you're one of those folks who craves chocolate bars with some protein as a snack or dessert or on-the-go emergency mini-meal, and you need no gluten, and you want it to taste nice, and you don't want a lot of sugars, and you do not mind soy (this has both soy and whey isolates), this is a nice option. I can't have a lot of soy. But sometimes, ah, well, I will give in--for some grilled tofu or some tofu red curry or nice miso soup. Well, the other day, I was at Whole Foods, looking for gluten free bar options for my purse (emergency snack ration options), and decided to give it a go, despite the soy. And whoa, liking it. If you just care about taste--this tastes good. If you're a crunch fiend--let's say that you like chocolate crunch candies or bars--this fits the bill. I have used Larabars, Quest bars, Kind bars, and Paleobars, and now I can add this to the arsenal of "What can I dump in my purse when I'm out on a day of errands to stem temptations for utter crap when I'm hungry." Wish it was just whey in there, but at least the soy is non-GMO. :D Vegan, gluten-free, kosher, dairy-free, low sugar, moderate-carb, high fiber, with protein and real dark chocolate.... and tasty. That's pretty durn good for a processed, convenience food. These Nugo slim bars are very decent tasting. I like that they’re not pumped full of sugar. I can’t have a lot of sugar so these are the better option. Good amount of protein and fiber as well. Doesn’t taste chemically like other brands often taste. I bought the mint dark chocolate slim bars and dark chocolate brownie slim bars. These are a great snack for on the go. Will have these on monthly basis.

I truly like these bars. They're unique, and here's why. Most protein bars out there contain maltitol and other alcohol-derived sugars intended to keep your calorie intake low. Don't get me wrong. That's a laudable goal. Most of us buying protein bars do that because we want to feel full after a workout, in the morning, a snack or as a meal replacement, and we don't want to lose muscle as well. But those artificial alcohols tend to wreak some sort of havoc on our digestive systems, causing a lot of bloating. Also, one questions whether if the body reacts this way on a high percentage of the population, whether it's a really a smart idea to be eating them (like candy). We're humans, not guinea pigs, and I hate those protein bars with 10,000 ingredients under the flap that most of us don't know the ramifications of. I still go for those 'artificial' protein bars when I have to (after a workout), but with NuGo slim bars, honestly I'm going to be doing that less and less. I first found these at a GNC, and in perusing the various protein options and reading the labels. This one struck me as trying very hard to provide nutrition by being reasonably natural about it. The reason why these aren't a HIT is that they don't have the same candy bar type flavor as those other protein bars. I realize now that's how the other protein bars are so popular, that they taste like candy, but are 'good for you.' Thing is, I'm not so so sure all those chemicals ARE good for you. You're certainly welcome to guinea pig yourself if you want. However, NuGO is where I'll be. The flavors are very much reminiscent of a dark, not sweet chocolate bar. If you like that stuff, you'll like this. If you don't like that stuff, you should try to get yourself used to it, because I think you'll come to appreciate that flavor. If I have any criticism of the bars (aside from the price, ahem), it's that they're a little on the dry side.
