Fantastic value for money
I was looking for a cheap monitor to use with my Amiga 1200 + flicker fixer & scandoubler for retro gaming purposes. At first I bought one of those no-name 15" LCDs thinking they would be a good way to get a cheap 4:3 screen. Nope! Huge mistake!! So I decided to give a trusted brand a try: Viewsonic. These guys have made great stuff since the 90s. This monitor is no exception. 22 inches and it's even cheaper than the 15" I bought?! Anyways the quality of the screen is perfectly good for retro gaming purposes. The built in speakers are not going to win any awards but they are perfectly adequate in both quality and loudness. No major problems with backlight bleed or reflections. The OSD menu is pretty easy to navigate and there is just about every adjustment you can think of. The only negatives I can say about this monitor are that it would be nice if it had height adjustment but I can just use some old books for that. And it would be nice if there was a dedicated power button rather than pushing in the 4 way control knob on the back. But honestly I am shocked at how good this thing is for just $120 BRAND NEW shipped next day from Amazon!! Update: Hmph. After less than 1 month the power adapter for the monitor has developed unacceptable levels of transformer/coil whine. I have filed a warranty claim. If Viewsonic ships me a replacement power adapter in a timely manner I will restore the 5th star on this review. Update 2: Wow! Viewsonic responded to my warranty claim within 24 hours and shipped out a replacement power adapter via Fedex 2 day service. The power adapter is a slightly different model than the first one but is electrically compatible. This is good, because it means that it's less likely that the newer adapter will fail. Well done Viewsonic!!

Excellent Monitor very good colour and picture definiction.
This is an excellent monitor my wife has a pair of these in their 27 inch version on her Mac Mini duel monitor setup computer and I have a pair of the same model in the 24 inch version on my Mac Mini duel monitor setup computer. The monitors are well matched the colour is the same on both monitors and the contrast and brightness can be easily adjusted to match both monitors as well the monitors even mine have lots of room for evaluating videos or photos of just haveing work out on one monitor as file folders ready to be used.
