Great for average person looking to improve fitness
I purchased this exercise bike for a parent who was looking to build up their aerobic fitness, back in January 2017. It arrived in 2 large boxes, if you are not physically fit you may need a hand moving them. The bike is easy to put together and the tools to do so are provided. They aren't of the best quality so I used my own tools, however this isn't a reflection of the product itself. It will take around 20-30 minutes to put together although some may need an extra set of hands due to the weight of the bike. So far the bike has proven to be sturdy, well weighted and well balanced. It is adjustable to suit differing body types. The seat is padded and relatively comfortable (you can also add different bike seats as rails are provided as found on a normal bike). The parent in question has used the bike frequently and would recommend the bike for those looking to purchase a fitness bike to try. The features on the bike aren't suitable for a more experienced user needed accurate fitness tracking but it does its job well and the features are reflected in the price.

Good for doing spinning classes at home
I wanted a bike to do the Les Mill RPM programme at home as the spinning classes at my gym are not at convenient times. I was concerned that with it being quite cheap I d be very disappointed but the reviews were quite good so... The assembling process was very very easy and it took me 15-20 mn to put it together, on my own (however the box is very heavy and I would have struggles to get it up just a few stairs without someone’s help. The finish on the bike is a bit rough, if you look closely, but that would be my only criticism. I could do my spinning routine similarly to using the bike at the gym. The resistance variation is good and it feels stable, however I wondered if a heavier/ taller person (I am a 1m64, 59kg) ) may feel as stable on this bike. This is a spinning bike, the saddle is a spinning saddle, this one is even more comfortable than the one at the gym but it is not a saddle on which to attend cycling for any length of time comfortably. I train with headphones on so I couldn’t hear how noisy the bike is but I felt that the mechanism could have perhaps been a bit smoother. However, overall, I am very pleased with the bike, it totally serves its purpose and very very good for the price.

Great value.
Looked around for a while to find a good price spin bike which was sturdy enough to feel like it will last. Settled on the XS after reading a number of reviews and product comparisons and have not been disappointed. Was easy to assemble with just myself, just needed to fix the lower stabilisers with the matchine upside down. Feels really sturdy, the seat is actually comfortable for me which I was surprised at considering some of the reviews, maybe it’s been improved for the 2018 model. Resistance is good and pretty smooth., Although can be a little fiddly to adjust when in the middle of a workout, maybe a slightly bigger handle would work better? The computer for me is the only slight letdown, it’s a big box but hard to control when on the move, not the most responsive and the little indicators hard to read. It would be better if you had two buttons to transverse the menu in both directions and the rather than a little triangle the selected option was highlighted. These are really minor niggles on what is an impressive bit of kit for the price. Can’t commen on durability as been used for just a few weeks, if I can update review in a few months with an update will do.

Bargain
What a solid bit of kit for an absolute bargain price. I ordered this on the Wednesday, then emailed to ask if could be delivered Saturday, the bloke I spoke to was a really decent guy, but please note, they do NOT deliver at the weekend. I then asked if they could try a certain neighbour when they deliver, otherwise I'd have to collect from a depot. It was delivered to that neighbour the following morning. I received a call from XS Sports asking if they could despatch, and then a call from the courier asking if I was happy to leave at a certain neighbour's house. Excellent communication. The product itself. It came in 2 boxes. The big box was the frame and flywheel, the smaller box had the parts you need to fit. Firstly fit both feet, using 4 nuts, washers and bolts (2 in each), then I think was the handlebar stem, then the handlebars (although it didn't make it clear that the bracket for the computer uses the top two bolts for the handlebars, so like an idiot, I had to take those two back out to fit that bracket. Then the seat pillar, then the seat, then the pedals. Probably took me ten minutes to assemble. Using the bike. Did a sample 40 minute casual ride, seems very sturdy. It comes with a bottle, but the lid is very fiddly to screw back on when pedaling. But that's the only realistic criticism I can have! The bottle lid is a bit fiddly!! The computer doesn't seem to be the highest quality and I doubt the distances are correct, but the pulse monitor matched my tickr heart monitor I wear, so seems accurate. I highly recommend this, would probably be worth double what I paid. It's sturdy, solid, quiet and light.

Loud.
It’s easy to put together with two people. The welding on the handle bars is poor meaning we couldn’t get one of the bolts in properly so that isn’t stable enough. The seat is very uncomfortable, I suggest getting a padded seat! It makes an awful sound, extremely loud. Someone has suggest putting grease around the chain to see if that helps. It’s a ok bike but could be better.

So far so good!
First impressions are good. I bought this as a present for my wife's birthday. One bit of advice, it comes in quite a big, heavy box, which I had delivered to work, but it was very apparent it was not going to fit in my car. Luckily I also own a Volvo V50, but even then, it wasn't easy to get it in the boot. It feels very good quality, it is very easy to build, I was surprised that there was only 8 bolts to fix it all together! It was all together in about 15 minutes. We have it in a bedroom that has carpet, but it still feels very sturdy. It is a little noisy, I think the chain is making a noise when connecting to the cogs, but I imagine they all make a similar noise, you wont hear it with your music on. You certainly can't hear any noise if you close the bedroom door - we tested this as we have a toddler and my wife wants to use it whilst she has a nap in the afternoon. The computer seems a bit cheap. I wonder if there is a different one that can be used and I am not sure how accurate this one is. But we will see after more use. There is no off button on the computer, it turns of after no activity for 4 minutes. It seems like a long time to me so may get through batteries quickly, especially when you have a toddler obsessed with pressing buttons! The seat is uncomfortable I guess, as other people have said. But I find this with every bike I have ever ridden. It will take time to adjust to the seat, use it regularly and you will no longer feel the pain. The riding position seems comfortable, my wife and I are 5'10" & 5'11" and we have adjusted everything to fit our height. There is still a higher setting on the seat so it would suit someone taller, and lots of lower settings so will also suit people much smaller.

As described, fast delivery.
Very easy to assemble, however the two boxes are quite heavy so will need two people to carry and unpack. The bike itself is fairly sturdy, there is a little wobble on the saddle and handle bars. For the price payed this is a fantastic spin bike. The resistance does become quite heavy, however it is not as smooth or as heavy as a gym grade spin bike. I did have to rub silicon oil around the fly wheel on the first use due to the brake pads rubbing/making a squeaking noise, since then it has all worked perfectly. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this spin bike considering the money spent!

Fabulous bike (Poor girl’s Peloton)
Absolutely love this. I wanted a bike to do the Les Mill RPM programme at home during COVID -19 restrictions. There was understandably a wait for delivery but the contact from the company was brilliant. I was able to put it together on my own but I am using on the ground floor, definitely would need two to take it upstairs. A couple of parts were missing but contacted the company and they came the next day! I am a tall female approx, 5’11 and overweight at present but I have no issue on the bike. It is a little noisy but once you have your music on it’s not an issue. I am really pleased with the cost it’s perfect for me and my Les Mills classes, able to add a stand for my iPad too. I am pleased with the whole package price, delivery, contact and item; definitely recommended.
