If they are used on an injury where they are used on body heat, it lasts for about 2 hours, but if being used as an ice pack for lunches inside and insulated bag they last for 4-6 hours **Q: can this be stored in the freezer long term?** A: Not sure but why would you keep it in freezer long term when it only takes a couple of hours to freeze.
