Blood Glucose Monitor Kit

This glucose monitoring kit exceeded my expectations. It is very comprehensive, coming with everything needed to start measuring from day one: the meter is very easy to use and provides fast, accurate results. The test strips and lancets are of good quality, and the carrying case is practical for keeping everything organized. It is ideal for those of us who need to monitor our health on a daily basis. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Put some pressure on your test strip pushing downward into the monitor to auto turn on. Hold that pressure a couple secs. At first I had a learning curve but it’s very simple and fast to use now. The lancet device also has a learning curve if you’ve never used one before, and I had not. You will need dexterity to use the needles and to uncap them, so if you need this and struggle with finger strength or holding your hand still, get another lancet alternative. Quality is great land results are accurate. I’ve noticed that the most accurate results are achieved when using the recommended method of testing the second drop of blood, not the first. Make sure it’s adequate to fill the test capillary, because if it isn’t you will get wonky results. If you lance and can’t milk enough blood out, just start over. It’s better to do that than get inaccurate results. The case it comes with is a little small for everything it hold. I had to remove one pack of lancet refills and one tube of test strips to make it a better fit. You can replace the items when you run out of the first batch, just put them somewhere safe with other medical items. I’d buy this again for sure.

The machine appears good quality. There are two instructions, one for the machine, which has a large enough print with glasses for my elderly eyes. However the instructions on the use of the spring-loaded lancet poker is very small, I needed a magnifying glass. The instructions did not include that I can see, how to do a control test strip, but that could have been my poor eyesight. The machine read accurately. I did have trouble with the lancet poker. It was fickle and I ended up just lancing the skin myself. I poke well. I need more practice with it. But, having used glucose machines and pokers before, this one didn't seem as solid of a design. Also, you have to twist off a cap to insert the lancet. I prefer a different design. There was a meter to measure the depth of the skin from 1-10, I think. There were no instructions on what number 1 would poke and setting 10 might poke. So it's trial and error. So will try the poker again later on. Everything is packaged well. The bottom of the box was open but everything was there.

DO NOT BUY. The reading on this device is extremely inaccurate and a waste of money. I also can’t get a hold of anybody who works for this place through the website or by phone. It’s ridiculous. They are a scam. Also the return policy for this charges you fees to send it back to them, which is absolutely ridiculous. It says on there that if the device has been used that you will be charged, how would I know that it’s defective if I didn’t use it!? Out here robbing people on diabetic equipment, it’s dangerous and inconsiderate/inhumane. SMH
