Good book
I was going to try to do a soft book on my own and ran into some issues. Decided to buy this and am glad I did. It solved the issues I was having and although I have not made the book yet, it will be a Christmas present for my now 2 month old granddaughter I have done a lot of the preliminary work. Glad I bought it.

Anyone wanting to learn how to sew your own "quiet books" can learn it here!
I have my first great grandchild & saw the quiet books, so when I saw this book where I could learn to sew a quiet book myself, I just had to order this. It's written with lots of pictures, really understandable ideas of how to sew any of the 18 projects & all the tools & equipment needed, so this is a great book! There are some items I'd have to buy (fabric hole puncher, awl, KAMsnaps, pliers, binder wrings, eyelets & eyelet installing tool or eyelet pliers, sew-on hook & loop fasteners, baby safe mirrors, shoelaces, tether rings, googly eyes, small craft clothespins, freezer paper, large buttons, button thread & textured or crinkle fabrics. If you sew, you may have all the other things you'd have on hand. The cost to buy the first products would probably only pay for itself if you were going to make 5 to 10 or more of the books for your family, or to sell on ebay or Amazon or such. Hope this helps you!

Nice idea book.
It is OK. I was hoping to construct something that could be washed and it calls for felt. I guess I wanted applique techniques but it is cute. Good for home use for you to make for your children Great idea book!

Basic patterns included not the more complex ones.
The patterns and ideas were a bit less exciting than the pictures shown. I would have loved some of farm animal patterns that were shown in the photo. It is a guide to ideas of what you can do and has some basic patterns to get you started.
