Do you play Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder or some other obscure brand of fantasy tabletop role-playing game? Do you enjoy lists of magical items, fantastical weapons, dubious potions and fascinating books? Do you tire of your players asking difficult questions such as ‘what is in the dead guy’s pocket?’ or ‘what is on this tavern’s menu?’ or other such wearisome inquiries concerning details you had no time to prepare for? Well, then this is the book for you. Table Fables is filled over eighty illustrated pages of tables and generators designed to be useful to all DMs, old and new alike. Review: Get it... Just, get it. This creativity is what tabletop games are all about. - I am so damn happy I was scrolling through DnD stuff when I was. One look at the description of the book was all I needed. I may not get the chance to play tabletop gaming much anymore, but this perfect collection of tables (As the cover says) is the best thing to help me flesh out my fantasy novel. One scene revolved around one character getting cursed for a few minutes before it's undone, now, instead of me finding something easy to write about, one of your tables and a roll of my dice makes me just as surprised as how to solve the situation as they are. Hell, one page was so cool because it listed tables for every aspect of a kingdom or large city. Now that is what I need to fuel how the world looks. Great stuff with this one. I hope you have all the success this book deserves. Damn good work. Review: A god send - This thing has saved my a*s many times

Random tables
The tables worked brilliantly to get some ideas flowing. Especially the magic items. There's plenty to work on, detail wise, and 2 people can look at this, and interpret things completely different ways I'll use it again.

Great Game Master Tool.
Completely generic fantasy RPG resource. Plainly written and easy to follow. Excellent time saver if you need to create an off-the-cuff scenario. This is now amongst my Game Master essential tools. Highly recommended for both group and solo role playing.

Excellent
Does what it says on the tin, an excellent little book full of ideas to get your imagination going. I've already used it a number of times to get me starting on writing new quests, and it's been really useful in giving a good starting point when you're blank on new ideas. I don't tend to roll much for random ones, just pick and choose something I find interesting or fitting. I'll be getting the others when I can!

Amazing
Such a little book with so much content. Just started writing my own Role Play book and have used this so much to build my dungeon and land around it. Never be lost for ideas ever again

“What Magic items do I get?” “Emmmm...”
Every had that moment? Then this is the book for you! Never for something vital just when I need an extra detail. Have used this with my DnD group every so often, just when I wanted to add a little colour to some random details or for a random magic effect. Very witty and very useful, would recommend!

great random tables
I love the randomness of D&D, players opening chests and making them roll d100s to see what potion or magic item they find inside. It's clear the author cares a lot about these also, as the magic items and weapons are homebrew which allow you to give your players a few truely unique items.

Excellent tool to add detail and bring your game world to life in very little time
An excellent product. I've only had this a few days and have used it countless times. One of my new favorite activities now is just creating random characters using the charts at the front of the book. It's simple and easy, and it helps me create some interesting characters in a relatively short period of time. They really put a lot of thought into this book. The other sections are just well thought-out and interesting. It really helps me brainstorm the things I often forget to, the mundane things that help flesh out the world and make it seem more complete and lively. Mundane items, food items, pocket filler, you name it. Normally I would just ignore these things and just try to make things up on the spot. However, being able to look in this book and just quickly come up with some plausible items is a real time-saver and really adds depth to your game play. Each of the entries for these tables is unique and plausible at the same time. I only have a few complaints. The tavern generation tables are a bit sparse and could use a lot of extra detail. It's a great start, and it's good for when you just need to briefly come up with a random Tavern, but I feel just feel like there's a lot missing there and it didn't quite live up to some of the other tables. Same with the Nicknames/title generation tables. However, I still haven't read the follow-up to this book, so a lot of my complaints might be resolved by that one. You can bet that I'm going to buy that one asap given the quality of this book.

These are the tables you want !
If you’re in the market for random tables, get this one ! More use for homebrew. I did buy a different book of tables from a different author and about only 50% of it was useful.

Supplément de jeu de rôle universel.
Un livre en anglais pleins de table aléatoire pour construire personnages, univers et aventures. Sympa mais pas indispensable. En tout cas j'aime beaucoup, c'est un bon support à l'imagination.
