A couple tips: I give it a like spray with some canola oil first so it's easy to wipe down after.  Also, if you have a full tortilla, press down slowly--the heat will help it come together but trying to close it too fast will make the lock mechanism break.  I buy 8 inch tortilla's place one on, put in whatever filling you like (cheese, peppers, pepperonie etc) place another tortilla on top and close.  Timing is relative, if you hear a sizzle, the cheese is melted enough!  But I will open and check every couple minutes.

Hello,
Do NOT use Pam or aerosol spray oils. They ruin any nonstick surfaces. Instead I suggest wiping some cooking oil before use. Spray oils are easy but they will ruin the nonstick surface.

Bought on in discount store. No instructions/recipes. Can't find one online. Can anyone help me out?

I don't have the instructions any more, but it's pretty simple. Plug it in before you start preparing the quesadilla. There's a light that goes on when it's hot, but not real important. Prepare the Q on a cutting board and transfer it to the maker. I give it about 4 minutes but everyone likes them a little different. You can use any Q recipe or make them up. I typically go with refried beans, cheese, onions, peppers, some kind of meat, and a little salsa. I also usually put too much stuff in and it oozes out. Works best if you have tortillas/wraps that extend beyond the edges. The maker will seal them for you. When I take it out I use a pizza cutter to slice along the seams inside and around the outside of the Q. Hope this helps.
