Corn Tortillas - Thick Corn Tortillas by Porkyland - 6" - Six Dozen Pack

Barely acceptable...If you were raised like I was with freshly made corn tortillas, then you have a benchmark by which to judge. Corn tortillas should not be built like a tank like these. They should be soft and not hard. Yes, they do smell like corn, so they have that going for them.I have had worse store bought tortillas. Hence the two stars.

These tortillas are amazingly good. They are thick and have an excellent flavor. I didn't like them when I fried them in oil to make chips. They were too thick for fried chips. I will be purchasing these again, without a doubt.

Dear Miss/Sir, with great regret I have to write this and complain that the above item I purchased had absolutely no flavour, in-spite of cooking into Regular Oven, Microwave Oven and as well as Toaster Oven per the given Instructions etc. it gave horrible odour and the odour was so intense that I had to turn on Exhaust Fan on and Open the doors and windows as well. Even neighbours wondered and asked what was this smell. There was No Customer Service or Help for me to contact. I left few pieces outside and even the Squirrel and Skunk did not like it. I end-up throwing away the whole box in the garbage. It was 100% loss of my purchase. What a dis-appointment ?

These tortillas are made the way tortillas are supposed to be made!My aunt lives in Guatemala where they make tortillas right there in the village from masa (way before it is dehydrated into a powder and packaged) that they make from the corn that they grow in their own gardens. Those tortillas are thick and yellow and full of whole gain corn flavor and smell.When she came to visit me I showed her these Porkyland tortillas that I had ordered and kept in my freezer. She took these tortillas and heated them up in my dry iron skillet and then we ate them and they were just about the best things in the world and she said yes these are excellent tortillas, just like we make in our village at home.

I'm very sorry I bought these because they are nasty. They taste and smell like the tortillas have corncobs and husks ground up in them. I took one bite, chewed once, and spit it out. I should have known because despite the fact that they were double bagged, my kitchen smelled like old nasty corn husks. YUCK!

I usually just don't have the time to write reviews, but wanted to write something because these excellent tortillas have gotten some bad reviews. I don't know what they are talking about. They taste great. They smell great. They have no added preservatives. They are perfect. They do have a strong tortilla smell, but that is the way they are supposed to smell. They are fresh. That is what fresh tortillas smell like when they aren't loaded down with added ingredients. We fry them lightly to soften them up for use as tacos and they are great.

The taste and smell of these tortillas was horrible. Dry, tasteless-- I did not serve them to my guests.
