WMFKult Espresso Maker for 6 Cups, Silver

Just what you would expect from a legendary German firm,restrained good looks,solid workmanship and worthwhile features.Engineered from heavy gauge stainless steel it looks and feels exactly right.The inside is polished so is easy to keep clean even if put away damp (unlike those annoying alloy versions) and the coffee grains holder has a loose perforated plate sitting on a ridge so you can make half the quantity. Oh,and did I mention it makes delicious coffee? Money well spent!

We have had multiple espresso pots, some imported and others from local sellers, but this one is the best by far. The wide base allows is sturdy and the shape makes for a great crema every time. Excellent quality product, highly recommended!

Makes good coffee. Solid design. Polished interior means it’s much easier to clean in the normal stovetop coffee pots. Nice wide base so fits on gas hob. Handle does stay cool - just position it so the handle is not in the flame!

We own both the 6 and the 4 cup of these and use them daily and both make great coffee. However I have no doubt the 4 cup was the original design as it pours perfect (we bought it because we just got fed up with having to wipe up coffee that dribbled down the side when one pours from inferior coffee makers).So while the 6 cup version looks great next to the 4 cup (as both are the same height, only the diameter varies) you can imagine the slight frustration when we discovered that the 6 cup dribbles(!!) and quite spectacularly at that.If you will have enough from the 4 cup then buy that as I cannot find fault with it, perfect coffee experience every time, if however you need the extra 2(?) cups (it really doesn't seem to be that much more when I divide it up in the morning..)then be prepared to pour your coffee above the sink to catch the dribbles.WMF Kult will make great coffee, no doubt about that, only way to improve you coffee from here is buy better coffee!

Very disappointed! Ordered this with great anticipation as we have had one of these for about 8 years and was very impressed with it, However, it arrived and the spot weld to attach the lid to the pot either broke or was never actually done. And it looked like the box had been opened before. After paying so much, I really expected more,

Not impressed by this.Generally WMF have good appliances. It this is after a few uses and it’s so expensive also

In the technical details' list on the Amazon website it was mentioned that the hollow handles did not burn while heating , which was a most important selling point for me. Unfortunately this was wrong and completely misleading as you cannot manipulate it without burning yourself. I wish the manufacturer had put an isolant cover on the handle given the fact that the technical detail regarding heat conductivity is false.

Ive been using a stove top pot for a very long time and run the gambit of alot of them.I finely found Ikea to be a well functioning stove top at a great price. The last model they made was an all steel model that was a reliable friend. I bought 2. As the years went on I alway looked at newer models and found this.WOW. What a difference. It is simple to clean and set up because of its size and quietly but quickly brews my coffee with no boil over and no explosive finish. Taste of my brew is great. This may be a bit dear in price but if it holdsup, it should be a smart purchase. The quality of workmanship shows care and craftsmanship so Im not worried. Verrrrrrrry happy. Thus far

This is my second WMF Kult Espresso Maker. I purchased my first one in NYC at Zabar's 15 years ago or more and used it nearly everyday since then until I gifted it to my daughter a few months ago. Fortunately, I was able to find it here on Amazon and was able to replace it. The WMF Kult is priced well above the great majority of the cast aluminum stove top espresso makers but it's made to last and of course brews exceptional coffee. It's entirely constructed of stainless steel so, personally I think it's worth a few extra bucks to avoid the possibility of aluminum being leached into my coffee.
