Makita DGA504Z 18V Li-ion LXT Brushless 125mm Angle Grinder – Batteries and Charger Not Included

I needed the 125mm for a job, I've not used cordless angle grinder before but I'll not be going back to corded. This is a fairly basic grinder but just works nicely and came with an INOX grinding disc. It is makita so I was expecting a nice good product and was not disapointed. Good simple locking button, the guard can be fitted then adjusted without tools and there is both the simple guard as usual, with one open face, but there is then a clip-over addition that provides fuller gaurding - the guards are fitted into a retaining groove and then doesn't come off by accident but a simple clip allows rotation to the best angle for the job. The on-off button is automatically locking but releases at a touch - single finger operation including locking which means you keep a good grip at all times, Once batter is fitted it feel swell balanced. I was using it with a 1mm diamond granite cutter blade and I felt that it gave me very good control. depending on use it might be a bit hungry on the batteries, but provided you have 2 to swap, the normal makita charger can easily keep up.

Good price and no problem registering for guarantee (see other reviews for this). However, be aware that this tool doesn't take the newer(?) Makita BL1815G batteries but only the (older?) BL 1850. If you have to buy the battery the whole thing becomes quite expensive (you can find BL 1850 substitute with charger on Amazon for about £65:00). It clearly runs slower that a mains grinder but (after over a year of use now) it has proved a powerful machine, easily cutting/grinding masonary as well as steel, and simply brilliant for tree and shrub trimming with a roughing out blade. This is not a lightweight machine but good power and battery life make up for that.

A tool for professionals. I’m only a DIYer, but when I need a tool I want to know it will do the job. This does - very happy I bought. Also bought the appropriate disks and cut solid concrete slabs without breaking a sweat - which is more than I can say for me on the hottest day of the year! Worth the relatively little extra to go brushless - will last a long time.

Used this for first time, although a little difficult to assemble, once used it did the perfect job of cutting down kitchen tiles to size. Very happy for a novice. Excellent product again from Makita. Would happily recommend

in der von Makita gewohnten Qualität. Mittlerweile besitze ich mehrere Makita Werkzeuge und bin von jedem begeistert. In unserer Firma setzen wir auch in der Produktion nur Makita ein, weil wir von der hohen Qualität überzeugt sind. Nun aber zum Produkt. Meine Makita Akku-Akkuflex kam ohne Ladegerät, ohne MacPac und ohne Akku. Geliefert wird sie in einem Karton. Als Zubehör gab es dann noch eine 125mm "Schruppscheibe" und natürlich Griff und dem Schutz an der Schleifscheibe. Die Flex macht auch hier wieder einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Sie liegt gut in de Hand und hat auch ordentlich Kraft, dank des Bürstenlosen Motors. BL Motoren haben in de Regel etwas mehr Drehmoment als Bürstenmotoren. Der BL Motor hat noch weitere Vorteile, auf die ich hier aber jetzt nicht näher eingehen möchte. Nur soviel dazu, wenn ich jetzt neueWerkzeuge kaufen müsste, würde ich immer auf Bürstenlose Motoren achten. Über was man sich bei dieser Flex nicht wundern darf ist, dass wenn man die Schreibe von Hand dreht es etwas mechanisch "klappert" oder komisch klingt. Nicht wundern... das ist das Getriebe und muss so sein. Den Sanftanlauf fand ichjetzt als nicht sonderlich sanft so wie man es sich vielleicht vorstellt. Sie läuft aber auch nicht so ruppig an, wie man es vielleicht von anderen Flex kennt. Was für mich ganzwöchig ist, die Tatsache, dass man die Felx auch mit einer Hand bedienen kann, da der Betriebsschalter einrastet. Das ist bei den teureren Modellen wohl nicht mehr der Fall und wird seitens Makita als Sicherheitsfeature verkauft. iChat brauche das nicht und habe mich bewusst dagegen entschieden, da es das arbeiten nicht zwingend einfacher macht. Fazit... Schalter rastet ein und das ist auch gut so. Leistung hat die Flex ausreichend. Es sollten dann aber auch schon die 18V Akkus sein. Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht einmal, ob die mit 14,4 V Akkus funktioniert. Über die Ausdauer kann ich derzeit keine Aussage treffen, da ich sie für das gelegentliche Schleifen nutze und nicht im Dauereinsatz habe. Der Griff macht das arbeiten noch einfacher und kann für links und rechts Händer umgebaut werden. Tolles Feature ist die Akku Anzeige. Bei den neuen Akkus ist die Akkuanzeige auf dem Akku. Hier habe ich sie am Gerät und sehe somit auch bei meinen ältern Akkus, wie der Ladezustand ist und kann sie rechtzeitig laden. Alles in allem, ein wirklich sehr gutes Werkzeug in gewohnter Makita Qualität. Man ist dank der Akku Technologie schnell im Einsatz und sehr flexibel. Die Flex ist nicht zu schwer und auch mit einem 5Ah Akku bleibt die Flex handlich und ist nicht zu schwer. Im Gegenteil. Ich bin der Meinung, dass der 5Ah Akku sogar dafür sorgt, dass die Flex balancierter in de Hand liegt. Alles in allem noch mal.... sehr gutes Werkzeug, Top Qualität. Akkustandsanzeige auch für Akkus ohne Ladestandsanzeige, handlich, nicht zu schwer, ordentlich Leistung und eine Schruppscheibe zum sofortigen start liegt auch bei. Was will man mehr.

I love the grinder. Works great for trimming smaller pcs with a zip disc. Bear in mind, this is not for normal grinding and surfacing applications. Even with a 3 amp battery, grind time with an 80 grit flapper wheel is very short. Best to keep this for quick cuts, and out of position jobs where you need something light and very controllable.

J ai acheté cette meuleuse pour compléter ma famille Makita. Je l utilise en pro ainsi quand privé. Je dois dire que je ne suis pas déçu j'avais déjà utilisé d'autres marque de meule a batterie mais la je dois dire que la puissance est là. Elle coupe et meule franchement sans s'arrêter, le moteur sans charbon y est pour quelque chose. Avec la batterie de 5 Ah l'autonomie est bonne pour faire de nombreuses petites coupes ou plus grande sans se soucier du fil, en conclusion je conseille cette meule pour ceux qui possède déjà la batterie et le chargeur de cette marque. Car pour un peu plus de 120€ sans batterie, c'est une bonne machine pour du matériel professionnel. Attention, machine livré sans batterie et chargeur.
