Good Product

The belt functioned for about 20-30 minutes and then broke. The break was right along the seam so it was an obvious product failure. I have installed several dryer belts in my lifetime and have never seen one last for less than 2 years.The monetary loss is upsetting, but worse is the loss of time. And worst of all, is walking into the other room, telling your wife you have saved the day, fixed the dryer, put away the mess, and the weird clothes drying system we had for the last several days ... only to hear the pop of the belt breaking. This existed for what I estimate to be the exact worst possible amount of time. If it lasted 5 minutes, I wouldn't have cleaned up our drying racks and told the wife of the success, and started another load of clothes that will be wet for days. If it made it an hour, or a day or two, we would have at least had a few loads of clean clothes to get us until we can get another one. Clearly it is worth spending another $3 (or $50!) to NOT BUY THIS ONE. I guess, Technically I did! I bought 2 more belts, from 2 different companies, to make sure this didn't happen again. And I am not even returning the extra second one. Its going to sit in the back of the cabinet for years, and I am going to lose it before I ever need to use it again, but I am keeping it as an insurance policy against not repeating the experience gifted to me by the fantastic failure of this product.Its a couple months later and it still upsets me how perfectly awful this went down. If I could pay money to erase this belt from my life, and the resulting 48 hours of disappointment and dank smelling laundry, I would. The only way to make this worse would be to make it out of gunpowder and gasoline.I suppose I did give it 3 stars for install. That went fine. This piece of garbage they mailed me was cut at the correct length, so it fit just fine during install. I only WISH they made it the wrong size so I would have just bought another one from another company. But, yes it was the correct length. I can't rate install lower than 3 stars... unless you count the fact that I had to do it a second time with another company's belt... that is working just fine. Just please, don't buy this. Or if you do, maybe get two or three extra, maybe they are not all precisely designed to fail at the exact worst possible moment. But then again, maybe they are.

The belt went on easy and it works great now

Sorry the review I wrote previously was for a different product. but thank you so much for having this available here to purchase. The tech wanted $200 to fix my dryer.. the parts store wanted $35 for the belt. I just bought this one instead and fixed it myself. Granted it was no easy task but the belt is perfect and my dryer spins again with no more squeaks and loud banging.. thank you again for having this available on Amazon!!! Before you buy please check your manufacturer website for the correct size for your exact model because this one is exactly what it says it is and will fit exactly the measurements it gives, thank you!!! I have a GE stackable and it fits perfectly. Edit: So it's been over a month and its still going strong, mind you I could not get the back of the dryer back on properly and had to stuff it with shimmied thick papers to fill the gaps I made taking it off, but thats because i took a crow bar and bent it off the back to begin with, hard to explain but I was sure this would cause it to break fast, especially after reading previous reviews...now with the experience i had putting it on and the troubles I ran into..I honestly think that many are mistaking a twist in the cable they cant see or feel cause its so easy to do, You think its on right but you got to triple check and check again, one little twist and it goes POP which is to be expected, run your whole finger along it really slow when you get that bottom pully part on and make sure it did not twist while stringing the pulley cable, this belt will last just make sure it didnt twist, especially considering how confident I was in mine breaking and it has not, it actually made my dryer dry faster too cause its turning so much better

Fit our machine, so far no issues, just hope it will last awhile and will update review if it does. Atleast we can dry clothes again! Wahoo
