Is this suitable for removing old white corrosion on 1970s matte aluminum lamps? I don't want a shiny finish only to remove corrosion and old marks

I think from experience that you will end with a shinier finish, although the cream is not very abrasive. What it does not do is remove the slight pitting that aluminium can have from corrosion. I fear you will have to buy and try!!
