I bought this because my Dell Latitude 5320 had an annoying intermittent problem where Win11 would disable the built-in driver. A [Windows expert] friend of mine once showed me how to bypass it but the steps were not simple and I had already ordered this by then. So the next time it happened, I dug out this gadget, which I had been carrying around in my bag just in case. I looked at the enclosed setup CD and wondered how that was going to be any use to me and then, to my delight, the dongle started working a few seconds after I plugged it in - no setup, it just started working. I was also pleased to see that the laptop recognised it as a WiFi adaptor and just switched to using that but retained all its saved connection details so it connects to whatever router I had already configured using the [now defunct] built-in adaptor without having to reconnect and re-enter WiFi password. The small size means I can leave it plugged in, even when carrying in my case, just need to make sure that end is facing upwards in my rucksack so the dongle doesn't bang on the floor if I put my bag down hard.

A recent upgrade to full fibre broadband dis not improve download speeds on my DELL Desktop PC running Windows 10, whereas my mobile and laptop and other tablets were performing much faster. I contacted my ISP and they confirmed that speed to the router was well above the guaranteed minimum. They suggested I reduce the number of devices running on my home network but that had no effect. Not being of a "technical" mind I was at a loss to know what to try to identify to solve the problem. It was by sheer chance I discovered that the network adapter in my PC was single band only, and apparently this is incapable of coping with the higher speeds. After a little research I found that an external usb adapter might help so I opted for the TP-Link AC1300 Nano Wireless MU-MIMO USB 2.0 Adapter. I ordered it from Amazon and it was delivered 2 days later. It was very easy to insert the little dongle into a port at the back of my computer. I ran the supplied CD and the necessary driver(s) installed automatically. Download speeds increased from approximately 50Mbps to 130Mbps, which is more than adequate for my needs ( I am not into gaming). I am very content with this purchase ,so my thanks to all concerned!!

Sorted out my outdated inbuilt WiFi on my Notebook. Been using it daily for over a week and it's on for at least eight hours per day. No problems so far.

TP-Link AC1300 Nano Wireless MU-MIMO USB 2.0 Adapter, Dual-Band, Miniature Design, Supports Windows 10/8.1/8/7, Mac OS 10.15 and earlier, Highly Secur. My Acer Aspire 8942G, the built in wifi card had completely failed Ordered late on a Friday, arrived mid afternoon 2 days later on Sunday. That's is quick. The dongle is tiny, just a little bigger than a dongle for a mouse. It is in a box with a full size CD and printed instructions. Following the introductions, I put the dongle in a USB socket, selected my router, entered the password, click connect, and so it was. It was that simple, I did not need to install any drivers. That was my experience you may need to install drivers, every laptop and computer is different. I use SAMKNOWS to test my connection speed, it is recommended by the Tech Department of Virgin. This on-line speed checker measure the output of the router and the reception of your device. My laptop is only 2 metres away from the router and both speeds were the same. The speeds will change depending on distance and obstructions. My previous dongle, it still works, usually had about 10mbs less than the router output. Very pleased with this TP Link dongle, might get another. They come with a 3 year warranty.

Worked great, until it didn’t. Less than 2 months in and it just stopped working and no USB port will recognise its presence. Usually TP Link stuff is great and represents phenomenal value for money, but this particular unit has bucked the trend. The follow up service puts it with Amazon to replace or refund it. But, their automated system is trying to fix the issue with suggestions that I have already tried, then passes me on to TP Link who asked for a bunch of info and concluded it was faulty but the replacement or refund needs to come from Amazon.

I had fibre broadband installed at home but my download speed on my laptop remained unchanged at around 30 Mb/s. Other devices such as mobile phones and my wife's laptop were showing significantly better speeds and I noted that these used a 5gHz wireless connection whilst my laptop had a 2.4gHz connection. I ordered this 5gHz wireless adaptor and installation was straightforward using the CD supplied which contained the necessary drivers. I now get a download speed of around 300 Mb/s which is even faster than my wife's laptop with it's built in wireless connection. I would happily recommend this product and if you can't use the CD for the drivers then just use an ethernet cable from your router to get the drivers online via the website mentioned in the instructions.

Works as it should

The adapter is very small and leaves almost no bulge or footprint on your laptop, went for this because I have a MacBook with a Wi-Fi issue and had to get an external adapter. After trying other models this is the one that worked perfectly for the MacBook and OS version I have. When using you just need to download the Driver and install it (had to use a USB Flash drive for that) and after it got installed the system detects it automatically and everything works smoothly.

Size and internet speed are convenient for remote work. However, the thermal performance issues cause the connection speed to be inconsistent. I don't recommend this product if you want good-quality calls, video streaming or online gaming.

After upgrading the device to TP-Link AC1300 Nano Wireless . Have observed the speed of internet much faster than before and supports WPA3 security.

Took an aging laptop with poor wifi connectivity up to 2024 standards of speed and reliability. Bought for a laptop that performing well EXCEPT for a glaring issue with connecting to wifi. Plug and play installation and easy set up. Works like a dream!
